"Come on, Jimin...pick up..." Taehyung had been attempting to call his best friend for the past few minutes, but he wasn't picking up. He was in the process of getting his things together so he could go break into Hoseok's and see what the hell was going on.

I'm sorry, the number you have called is not currently available. Please-

"I swear I'm going to kill him! Making me so fucking worried..." Taehyung grunted angrily as he grabbed his coat.

"Is Jimin still not picking up?" Jungkook grabbed his mate from behind and wrapped him in a warm embrace, trying to calm him down.

"No! This bitch really thinks he can just ignore me like this and not expect me to get all worked up? HA! Think again motherfucker! I'm going over there and I'm going to rip his hair out piece by piece!" Taehyung huffed, struggling to release himself from his boyfriend's grip.

"Okay okay...calm down before you get too worked up and we have to evacuate the house again. I'm pretty sure everyone would be seriously disappointed since they all think that's over and done with." Jungkook caressed Taehyung's side gently and kissed his clothed shoulder. "Why not try calling him one more time? If he still doesn't pick up, I'll go with you and we can calmly make sure he's okay."

"Fine...." Taehyung pouted slightly as he begrudgingly pressed the call button on his phone again. The line started ringing and it continued without stopping or being interrupted. "See? He's not gonna answer-"

"Oh hey Taehyung....Um..I don't think right now is the best time."

"Hobi? What the hell are you doing with Jimin's phone?" Taehyung stepped out of Jungkook's hold, immediately turning serious and pacing in worry.

"Don't worry. Jimin's fine. He's just sick pretty bad. We talked with the doctor already and it's some kind of um....it's a really contagious virus, so me and Yoongi are taking care of him. Don't come over since you could get sick too."

"What about you and Yoongi? You'll get sick too! Why don't you take him to a hospital if it's that serious? You know we have a specialized one right?" Taehyung looked at Jungkook, expressing his concern through his eyes. "I'll make some soup and bring it over-"

"No! No, don't do that. I...I um...don't want to risk you getting sick. You're body isn't as strong and you'll get sick easier. You always have. I can handle cooking meals. After all, I have Yoongi to look after him while I'm doing things. You just stay away and don't worry too much. He's just fine."

Taehyung heard Yoongi's voice shouting for Hoseok's help with something followed by a pained sound that he swore was Jimin.

"I've gotta go. I'll talk to you later Tae."

His phone beeped, signifying the end of the call. Taehyung slumped his shoulders and walked back into Jungkook's arms.

"What's the matter? What did Hoseok say?" The alpha rubbed soothing circles into his boyfriend's back.

"Jimin's really sick....and I can't go over because it's supposedly really contagious." Taehyung huffed and dropped his coat. "Now I'm tired 'cause I got all worked up..."

Jungkook chuckled and picked up his omega walking the short distance to the bed and laying down with him. "Why don't you take a nap and calm down. I can still smell your stress. We've been so careful with your heat. Let's not have it flare up now."

Taehyung nodded and closed his eyes. "Before I fall asleep...I wanted to ask you about something since I've been thinking about it for a while."

"Hm? What is it." Jungkook smiled and kissed the top of his mate's head.

"Why do you never talk about your parents? There was that one time when you gave me your mother's bracelet, but you always avoid it."

Taehyung regretted the question almost as soon as he asked it. The way Jungkook tensed up and looked almost horrified tore his heart to pieces. He'd noticed how his mate always avoided the topic of his parents or his old pack. Taehyung respected his way of coping, but it didn't seem healthy. He noticed how Jungkook would have nightmares some nights and wouldn't be able to sleep others. He wanted so desperately to help, but he couldn't do that if he didn't even know a few of the details of his mate's previous pack.

"We were strong....strong enough that such an attack by those people shouldn't have affected us so terribly, but it came out of nowhere. While we were going about our usual business, those people just came running in, slaughtering anything they could get their hands on: children, elders...it didn't matter. They set fire to the buildings, set bombs with poisonous gas, slit throats, shot bullets. They massacred my people and I witnessed it all." Jungkook let out a heavy, shaky breath. "And it's all my fault. The week before the attack, I found out that one of the wolves in our border patrol had been taking bribes from somebody. I thought it was the neighboring vampire group since we'd had issues with them sneaking in and out of our territory in the past. I should've just taken him from his post. I should've, but I didn't because I was worried that someone else that was more dangerous might slip through the gap while I searched for someone to fill in." Jungkook clenched his fists. "But that's exactly who he'd been dealing with in the first place. If I'd just have done my goddamn job, my people would be alive. My parents-" he stopped when he felt a gentle hand in his chest. Looking over, he noticed tears falling from Taehyung's eyes.

"It's not your fault. The church is a ruthless group. You were only trying to protect your family. No one could ever blame you for that, so please don't blame yourself."

Jungkook chuckled sadly. "What are you doing? I'm the one that's supposed to cry, not you." He wiped away his mate's tears gently and kissed his forehead. "You don't need to worry. I have you and the others, so I'll be fine."
