"Tae! Good news! My parents said I could go to your party this weekend." Takuya ran up to Taehyung with a smile that didn't quite reach his eye. His steps seemed to have a staged excitement to them.

"Really? That's great! I'll give you the address once we get to the classroom." The omega smiled back, glad his new friend would be able to join them. "I might be able to get you a ride if you need one. Jungkook can drive so-"

"I'll be setting up with the others. Ask someone else." Jungkook held his gaze steady on the school building in front of him and his left arm firmly around Taehyung's shoulders. His jaw clenched tightly when he received a firm smack to the stomach by the aforementioned teen.

"I'll make sure you don't get in trouble, so pick him up anyway." Taehyung rolled his eyes in annoyance and then continued to smile at Takuya. "It'll be at 12:30. Don't worry about eating lunch before since we'll have lots of food."

"Alright, sounds good. I don't think I'll need a ride, though. My brother said he'd take me."

"Oh! You have a brother? That's great! I understand he doesn't know me, but if he wants to hang around for some food, he's welcome to." Taehyung pushed his smile wider even as he felt Jungkook's hand tighten around his shoulder in protest.

"I'll be sure to let him know. He's pretty busy recently with college and stuff, so I'm not sure if he will." Takuya eyed Jungkook's hand for a few seconds before looking away and taking a nervous gulp. "I think I'll head off to class first. I have to talk with the teacher about an assignment. You guys take your time."

"Huh? Oh...okay. I'll see you later then." Taehyung waved his hand gently, watching Takuya slip into the school building and disappear behind the corner.

"Did you have to invite his brother too? I'm worried enough with just one of them. What if his brother is the same way?" Jungkook huffed, protectively pulling Taehyung closer.

"Well I'll be glad if he's like Takuya. He'd be very nice and honest. Stop judging him off of one misunderstanding." Taehyung sighed and shook his boyfriend's hand off.

"I know what I saw, Tae. He might seem nice, but the second he figures out what we really are..."

"Stop it already. I understand you went through a lot because of the hunters, but you can't go blaming every human you see for it. You really need to grow up Kook..." the look of hurt and disbelief on Jungkook's face hit Taehyung in the chest, making him instantly feel guilty for his words.

"I think I'll head to class too. I've gotta talk with a classmate about a project. See you in science...." repositioning his bag over his shoulder, Jungkook walked off with a brisk pace.

Taehyung sighed and smacked his own mouth a few times and muttered, "Think before you speak, dumbass." He readjusted his school bag and then continued his walk into the building before him, much less enthusiastic than he had been just moments before.

"Are you sure that's the answer?" Jimin looked at his worksheet with confusion.

"Yes, I'm sure. All you have to do is plug the numbers into the formula." Taehyung sighed and used his pencil to point out how to solve the math problem once again.

"But my calculator says a different number...are you sure?" Jimin pushed his device towards his friend to show him the odd numbers.

"You typed it in wrong. We learned all this stuff last year. Why do you forget so easily..." Taehyung sighed and let his pencil fall onto his desk.

"It's not my fault there's so much math in science...." Jimin pouted and slumped back in his chair. "Plus, I missed so much school....I don't know how I'll ever make it up...."

"Just try your best. Don't get too stressed out about it, or you'll end up missing more school." Taehyung smiled and pulled the beta back into a sitting position. "Now, back to work."

"Tae~ can't we just take a little break?? Lunch is almost over and we haven't eaten anything yet.."  Jimin pushed his books away and plopped his head down into his arms.

"Well I suppose that's my queue to give you this." Jungkook pulled a chair up and sat down, dropping a bag onto the desk. "Pick your poison."

Jimin clawed at the bag, pulling out the different types of buns that Jungkook had brought along with a carton of milk. "Jeon Jungkook, you're a fucking god." He ripped open a pork bun and started tearing into it with his teeth.

"I know, I know. You're still going to owe me for it, though." Chuckling a little, the alpha pulled out a bun for himself and began eating it much more calmly.

"I'll pay you back with help studying for our test next week." Taehyung smiled happily and grabbed the last of the warm buns.

"Oh right, I was going to talk to you about that Takuya kid. I think it'd be a good idea to ask Mr. Jung before inviting him to your birthday party. I know you don't think he's involved with the hunters, but it wouldn't hurt to at least ask." Jimin spoke in between big gulps of milk and bites of his bun.

"I already invited him, though...." Taehyung nibbled his lips and chuckled awkwardly. "And his brother..."

"You did what-" Jimin's wide eyes locked onto the omega. "I know you trust him, but you can't completely deny what Jungkook saw. Not to mention there's been rumors going around about hunters being nearby. You should've talked with the others first."

"I know, but he's safe. I swear! Plus, he doesn't even wear a necklace, much less anything with their symbol on it. You've gotta trust me!"

Jungkook sighed and stood up to throw away his trash, coming back and looking between both of them with a serious look. "Taehyung, I'll trust you for now. I want to believe what you say, so I'll leave this alone. You already know my thoughts on this anyway. Jimin, I think you should do the same." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "However, if anything happens, and he's got something to do with it, I won't be holding back and I won't consider him a friend."

"I can live with that." Taehyung smiled. "He's not going to do anything anyway."
