As we stepped out of our Uber we could hear music blaring from all the way down the street. Large groups of people were surrounding the building where the party was being held. The party was being thrown in a nice modern all white penthouse, which was situated in the richer neighbourhood on the other side of town. This party was my cousin's Destiny. So I was used to being on this side of town. Everyone was looking certi. We walked into the party and I started studying my surroundings making sure I felt safe enough to stay here. Everyone had their hands up in the air vibing to 'When I see you' by Fantasia.

By the time the song had ended every female was boo'd up with some man. I turned around hoping to find my friends behind me but then I realised I had been left by the both of them. I would say I was shocked but I had grown to get used to this as they always left me by myself at parties due to me being the more antisocial one. I could feel someone's eyes boring into my back. I looked up just to lock eyes with a pair of beautiful brown eyes which I found so easy to get lost in. I recognised the pair of puppy dog eyes belonged to the infamous Zyir.
From his body language and facial expressions, he seemed like he was getting bored of the convo he was holding with this stunning light skin girl who seemed like she was trying her hardest to keep him entertained and to keep his attention on her. He motioned for me to come towards him but I lightly shook my head, no not wanting to make my way all the way over there. I could see the lightskin he was talking to searching around trying to find who had caught Zyir's attention. Once she had acknowledged me she screwed me causing a wave of confusion to flow over me. As I had no idea on who this girl was.
I guess I had zoned out because I didn't seem to acknowledge the heavy footsteps coming towards my direction until I felt the figure stop right in front of me. I looked up to see Zyir flaunting his beautiful smile making me want to swoon. He carried a calming aroma around with him. Making me feel more at ease whereas with any other guy I know for a fact my anxiety would have kicked in by now.
"What are you doing by yourself darling?" his deep voice whispered into my ear. I could feel his light breaths hit my ear and parts of my neck. I had never been this close to a boy before and I could feel my hormones overflowing.
"Well my friends kind of abandoned me and I didn't know anyone else here," I responded in a slight whisper.
"Come hang with me and the mandem. I'm not going to just let you sit here by yourself looking stupid."
"Oh wow, I feel so flattered," I said with sarcasm dripping through my voice. Ignoring me he reached his hand out signalling for me to grasp it. So that's what I did. It felt like my hand fit perfectly in his and the warmth from his body radiated throughout me. I couldn't help but place a wide grin on my face.
I just met this boy but he's already evoking all these feelings from me. This is so crazy I've never felt anything for a boy this fast before. I honestly don't know how to act.
He pulled me upstairs where I spotted Jayden, Santana and a bunch of other boys I didn't know of. I spudded Jayden and hugged Santana and then Zyir introduced me to the rest of the boys. "Savannah, this is Zion, Malik, Amare and Prince. Mandem this is Savannah." I waved at them and they all greeted with spuds or just nods of the heads.
I took notice of the chains, that I see Santana wearing all the time, glistening from their necks. I wanted to know more about why they all had matching chains so I nudged Zyir and he faces me giving me all of his attention.
"What's wrong baby?" I decided to ignore the fact that he called me baby even though it had created butterflies in the pit of my stomach. I smiled and asked him "Why do you all have the same chain?". "It represents our side of the streets. We're PSide." I nodded my head in response. See I knew that Santana was always on road but I didn't actually take time to think he was properly involved with the streets. This started to cause worry to was over me and I think Zyir could tell because he grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
All of a sudden I could hear 'Differences' by Ginuwine started playing. I swear down this Dj was the best. I grabbed Zyir and started dancing with him. This song always put me in my feelings. I playfully grabbed his chin and stared into his eyes.

Once the song had ended, he smiled that mesmerising smile at me once again. But he still had his arms wrapped around my waist. This caused butterflies to start to erupt in the pit of my stomach. What would such a beautiful boy like this want to do with me? He could be with anyone. He could have any girl he wanted but he's here dancing with me. It just doesn't make sense. It's so crazy how I've already started to develop feelings for this boy already. I hardly know him and we've just met. Yet I never want to leave his embrace.
This is why my relationships never last. I always fall so easily and way too hard. Then I become attached. Which leads me to heartbreak. I don't want that to happen again. I'm still tired of feeling unwanted. Maybe Zyir could change all of that for me. We'll just have to see
