~Percy's PoV~

I woke up groggy as my face stuck on the page of the open book. I glanced around me and noticed it was completely silent. Like not even the beep of the cars on the road, the rain hitting the windows, or even Grover snoring.

Now that I think about it Grover wasn't even there. I looked out the window and noticed how bright it was. I nearly had to look away, though, with the title of The Gamer, which I thought would never come in handy, I was able to stare outside. It was strange, I saw the emptiness outside. It had no birds or anything.

I opened the door to my dorm and suddenly the walls changed, The walls were an eerie rusted metal. It looked like I was back in the Labyrinth, though the shape of the halls and the turns still matched the dorm room. I stepped out farther. Though a gust a warm wind blasted me off my feet. The wind had come from somewhere in the hall ahead of me.

As I neared I heard a menacing growl, almost metallic sounding. I reached for Riptide, though I found it wasn't in my pocket. I continued down the hall. The growling stopped, it didn't help the situation though because the silence frightened me. I had made it to the other side where I almost fell. A giant drop appeared suddenly, I tried to peer down the hole but it was covered by a thick red mist.

I heard the laughter again from my dreams, the voice that sounded like nails on a chalkboard. I felt a sudden drop in temperature, just from the laugh alone the man had made shivers go up to my spine. I felt a presence appear swiftly behind me, a dangerous one. It gave off an intense foreboding feeling. As I felt it near, I found I couldn't turn around. I just knew it had to be some kind of spell or something. It wasn't farfetched seeing as how I literally had the ability to control gaming powers. As the presence drew closer I heard a loud beeping.

I sat up straight to an alarm clock. I found that I was back in my dorm, a quick survey around the room showed that there was nothing that seemed dangerous. I glanced back at the alarm clock and read the time, 7:48

I was gonna be late if I didn't hurry. So I jolted up grabbed a different shirt and tossed my bag over my shoulder. I had burst through the door and ran down the hallway.

Bing!

New Skill Unlocked: Running Lvl: 1

Pretty self-explanatory, it's how fast you run.

XP: 50/125

I swiped the box away without much care. I ran into the halls past lockers and hall monitors. I burst through the door moments before the bell hand rang. Everyone's head snapped to me. I looked around and sighed. I had run into the wrong classroom. I apologized and was sent towards the correct room. I had completely forgotten the new semester swap in schedules.

I opened the door to the Algebra room. This time only a couple of people paid me any attention, Grover was among them. I slowly walked towards the one empty seat and heard a screechy voice howl at me.

"Jackson! Why are you late?" She practically yelled right at me. Though I hadn't recognized her before, she looked like an old woman, Probably because she was. She had a wrinkly old face, long fingernails, and I could smell the overwhelming smell of perfume from 10 feet away.

"I guess I lost track of time," I said in reply. She glared at me "It would be in your best interests not to do that again." I shrugged nonchalantly, I had heard that threat a thousand times over. Though with me being a curious idiot I decided to try out some skills on her.

'Observe' I thought in my head. To my surprise, the pop up appeared. Though it was not what I was expecting.

Name: Alecto

Title: Torturer of the Underworld

Level: 72

Race: Fury

Str: 89

Vit: 42

Dex: 26

Int: 51

Wis: 37

Luck: 17

Alecto is a Fury born from Uranus's blood with her 2 other sisters. She answers only to Lord Hades and is an extremely dangerous foe to have. She is normally sent out by Hades to do his dirty work or assassinate someone.

My heart practically stopped as I looked at the stats. Sure she was nothing compared to Aphrodite but she was an Olympian Goddess, and she wasn't out to get me. I could still get destroyed by her. I was only a level 4 she was in the '70s.

I sat stunned and still as a statue for the entire class. Not much I could do with learning that a monster that could torture me forever was pretty much working at my school.

The last class of the day was Mr. Brunner's. I had waited patiently for that class. Today was the day that I was silent for the entirety of all classes. I sat down at my desk in Mr. Brunner's room. He wheeled in, I stared at him as he started to teach. It was something about creatures of the Greek Myth like Centaurs, Satyrs, and Pegasi. I paid it no mind. I was more focused on finding something out. Just like I had with "Mrs. Dodds" earlier I used 'observe' on Mr. Brunner. I don't know why I hadn't thought about doing it sooner but the thought just never occurred.

Name: Chiron

Title: Trainer of Heroes

Level: 295

Race: Centaur

Str: 211

Vit: 301

Dex: 120

Int: 516

Wis: 482

Luck: 375

Chiron is the Legendary trainer of heroes from Greek Myth. He has trained people such as Heracles, Achilles, and Jason. He is commonly known for his knowledge and wisdom of medicine. He runs a safe-haven for demi-gods called Camp Half-Blood.

I for the 2nd time that day nearly fainted. Here was another legendary being from Greek Myth. I guess he could be safe to go to if I ever needed help from someone like Alecto. The thought of her sent shivers down my spine.

As he kept teaching I had only listened in on a few parts. Most of them were unnotable, except him announcing that we would be going a field trip to the History Museum to closely study the impact the Greeks have made on us. I got up as the bell rang and headed back towards the dorm. As I opened the door I sighed. I set my bag on the floor and sighed. Today was only Monday and it was already terrible.

I groaned as my back hit the mattress, it springs causing me to not hurt myself from falling. The alarm clock was something I momentarily glanced at, Seeing it as only 3:30 PM I got up and headed back towards the Labyrinth...
