~Percy's Pov~

I sat down in the dining pavilion, eating ribs. I had decided to try and increase my stats naturally today. Though I needed something heavy if I wanted to increase my strength, I had a good idea of how to increase my Dexterity, and I thought of possible ways to increase my intelligence and wisdom.

After breakfast was finished I headed towards the woods. I looked at the rocks and trees, trying to decide which to work on first. I started to punch a rock, to test my strength at full power. Without boosters, my Strength was 40, but with the Champion of the Unclaimed title and the Amulet of the Flame Titan, it was brought up to a staggering 87.

When I punched the rock I heard a loud crack from the rock, surprisingly my fist hadn't started to bleed from the punch, but it had hurt a lot. From the area I punched, the rock had large cracks branching out from the source. I knew this wasn't something someone with an average strength could do. Deciding I had tested it enough I got to the other side of the rock.

I got a good look at its size and took note it was about as half as tall as me and was as wide as one of those really old tv's. I grabbed the sides of the rock and tried to lift it, however, even with my strength I could barely get it off the ground. When I couldn't get it off the ground I decided to go for an easier approach.

It seemed that it didn't matter what my current stats were with the bonuses, but rather it only mattered what the base stat was. So if I had around 177 Str. with bonuses and only 40 in the base area, it would be easier to increase it by lifting incredibly heavy items that wouldn't be possible to lift with 40 Str.

I absorbed the nearby shadows and activated Super Strength. Which in turn, increased my Str. to an impressive 252. With that done I swiped away the screen that popped up for the Shadow Healing and grabbed the rock. With my new found strength I was able to pick it up, it was hard but not too hard that I wouldn't be able to carry it for a couple of seconds. When I had carried the rock for around a minute it popped up.

Bing!

Due to Lifting Heavy Weights, you've gained +4 to Str.!

I set the rock down and wiped some of the sweat off of my forehead. I felt like I needed to do something else. I deactivated Super Strength and walked out of the forest. I looked around for something to do. I headed towards the Arena hoping to find someone there. It was a pleasant surprise to find Thalia destroying some straw dummies. I approached her to see if I couldn't strike up a conversation.

"Are you sure you're clear to be out and training?" I asked her as she 'Kill' another straw dummy.

"Doctor cleared it." Was all she said as she went back to hitting the dummies.

"You know, I think you destroyed those dummies enough, you want to train with me?" I asked, hoping to train a couple of skills at the same time.

"Sure why not?" Was what she said in response.

We both got into our positions across from each other. She brought out her spear, which was a collapsable Mace can, and then she brought out her other weapon from her bracelet. Well, it wasn't exactly a weapon but it could count as one with its offensive capabilities. It was a shield that looked like it was made of steel and Celestial Bronze, but that wasn't the main quality. In the center of the shield was a replica of Medusa's face, snakes coiled off of her head and seemed to be frozen in the metal.

Even with Gamer's Mind in full effect, it still sent small shivers down my spine. The shield was a replica of Aegis, a shield used by Athena. It was meant to severely scare your opponents in battle, and let me tell you, it was doing its job quite well. However, I stood my ground and didn't show any sign of flinching when she pulled out the shield. She seemed surprised when I didn't show any reaction.
