~Percy's Pov~
I sighed and wiped the sweat off my forehead and paused to look at my work.
I had made many adjustments to my course over the past 2 days. There were dart traps, pit traps, nets, arrow volleys, and even a handmade catapult. I jumped down from my branch and put my wrench in my inventory.
I began to walk back to the beginning of the course. I felt a sense of pride, I had set up this impressive course.
I got into position. When I started the stopwatch I bolted. The first bits I had added were easy enough, with a few added pitfalls here and there. The main part of the course was deeper in the forest.
Instead of stopping before the net could get me I jumped above the net and landed without breaking a bone. I was far ahead of the paddle that had gotten me previously so I continued onwards.
I ran and suddenly a swarm of darts came towards me. I was easily able to outrun them with my running skill.
When I rounded a corner I almost forgot about the Hwacha, which was very difficult to make with the limited tools I had access to. Instead of gunpowder, I was forced to use a spring.
I saw around 200 arrows dotted the sky when I looked up. I jumped from under the nearby trees as arrows punctured the ground around me.
Wanting to get out of the area quicker I jumped out from under the tree, effectively leaving me out in the open.
With my carelessness, an arrow struck me. It embedded itself into my shoulder. I hissed in pain as blood leaked out of the wound. It was foolish of me to get out of cover. Though the wound luckily wasn't too deep and I would be able to heal it later.
I recognized a log coming my way. I quickly reacted by flipping over the top of the log. A dart nearly struck me when I landed, however, I was able to effortlessly dodge it by leaning to the left. A wave of darts appeared and I mentally cursed at myself for placing the darts there.
In a desperate attempt to save myself from becoming a porcupine, I set up a barrier of water in front of me. The darts were stopped by the layer of water so I continued on down the path.
Several targets popped out from different hiding places. I swiftly equipped my bow and pulled back 3 arrows. The arrows flew through the air and hit the bullseye. I didn't have much time to celebrate because a large boulder came barreling out of the sky towards me.
I ran down the thin path hoping to outpace the boulder. The rock came down right in front of me. I leaped over the rock and grinned, however, I was brought out of my stupor when a range of arrows rocketed towards me.
I dove away right before the ground was pelted with arrows. My mind went on autopilot dodging various arrows and attacks. While I was fighting against the various assaults being thrown my way I wondered about the Prophecy I had gotten on my first year.
My mind had been drifting to it time and time again, it seemed to always invade my mind whenever I had free time. The lines had a constant echo of snakes whenever I dared to think of it.
I continued to dodge the arrows and block various attacks being thrown my way. I barely even registered getting to the end of the course I set up.
Bing!
Due to flexing your body, you've gained +1 to Dex.
I had wanted to make this course increase most of my stats in a single go. I figured that I still had a long way to go and the best way to increase my stats was still either quests or to train in 'The Dark Forest'.
