~Percy's Pov~
I sighed as I finally finished the long explanation. After I did finish it I had a large number of questions thrown at me where I came from, how my world was, and all those types of questions. After I was done I began to ask questions myself.
"What exactly was all that bowing about?" I asked Alexia, hoping to find a truthful answer.
"My dad, or rather you, was very powerful. He was the only one who was able to fight the Titans with us after the Gods faded. Then the people around him began to adore him and view him as a God, though in his usual humble manner he didn't like people bowing to him." She explained to me, I began to understand more of the whole picture.
"Okay, so why exactly did the Gods Fade?" I thought that was a question that I needed an answer to when I first arrived here.
"Once Kronos overran Manhattan, he enslaved humans and practically ran them into extinction, even Demi-Gods were hunted, and then the Gods eventually faded because there was no one to remember them by." My jaw nearly dropped as I heard all of that, there was a possibility that Manhattan was going to be overrun in the future?
I then began to ask many other important questions like how I met Artemis, but Alexia either didn't have the answer or didn't want me to know, which wasn't very comforting when I thought about either one.
When I got my basic understandings I was about to leave, I had explained to them the basic premise of the amulet and how it could transport the wearer into an alternate universe. However, before I could take the amulet off Alexia grabbed my arm.
"Wait, there's something you need to see." She said and began to lead us all back. I began to suddenly feel very nervous.
When we got back to the base I was led back to the operations room. Alexia walked over to the computer and began to press several buttons on the keyboard.
Then the whole room began to rumble and shake. Things sitting on the desks were clattered onto the floor. I suddenly had the feeling of dropping, like when you're in an elevator and it starts going down. I was swaying side to side trying to find my balance.
Eventually, the feeling of movement stopped and the hatch door creaked open, an uneasy feeling steadily rose in my gut. However, I powered through it and walked up to the door. I peered through and was met with a large empty room.
A singular light shone down in the middle of the darkness. I began to make my way towards it as Alexia stood back at the doorway. My footsteps echoed throughout the room, being the only thing to pierce the unsettling silence.
I stopped in the light and suddenly a rumbling sound made itself present. The sound became louder as several hatches opened up in front of me. 3 cylindrical glass containers rose from the pits.
When I focused on them I noticed that the containers held different items, the first held a couple of books that I recognized as a Skill-Books, the second one held a sword, and the last one held a set of armor that resembled my own but with a few major adjustments.
I took a hesitant step forward and the tubes slid open. I looked back at Alexia and found that the door had been sealed shut and was locked. So much for that comfort.
I decided to approach the sword first, its metal had a familiar shine to it. However, before I could grab it I heard yelling coming from deeper in the darkness.
I looked back at the sword and sighed, I began to head towards the yelling, hoping to find its source.
After several long minutes of walking in the dark, I came across the people yelling, or rather, who I think was the people yelling.
