Elsa and Jack were both forced to just go to bed and try again in the morning. Jack had work in the morning. He had called Tooth's house, telling her he'd stop by for his phone in the morning, but she told him she'd come by the parlor herself.
Jack looked at the time on the little ice cream shaped clock on the wall. 1:30. The dance started at 2 and that's when his shift ended. Tooth still hadn't shown and Jack began to get worried.
Suddenly, a familiar face came through the door. "Here's your phone back. Sorry for stealing it," Tooth held the phone out to him.
"It's fine, he saw a few missed calls from Elsa and a couple texts from his mother. "Thanks."
"See you in," Tooth looked at the clock, "half an hour!" She waved as she went out the door.
"You too!"
❄❄❄
"Hans! Give me my phone back now!" Elsa was tired of him playing with her. "Without a lock on it!"
"No need to scream, Ice Queen."
"This is a perfect time to scream! You're making my life way too difficult!"
"Geesh, I'll give it back after the dance." He got up to leave.
"Hans!" But he was out the door. Elsa followed him, but he had already started his car and was pulling out of the driveway.
"You better start getting ready for the dance!" Hans yelled out his window as he drove away.
"I hate you!" Was all Elsa yelled back.
❄❄❄
Elsa had no choice but to get ready. She slipped on the dress; and applied some mascara, light pink lip stick, and dark purple eye shadow. She put her hair up in a nice bun and went to check on Anna.
Anna had her dress on and was just finishing her make up: mascara and pink lip stick. She had her hair up in a bun as well, with ribbons dangling down that matched her dress.
Anna noticed Elsa in her mirror. "Elsa! You're ready!" She turned to face her sister.
"You look beautiful," Elsa complimented.
"Thank you! You look beautifuller, well, not fuller, but more beautiful."
Elsa giggled, "thank you."
The door bell rang.
Anna hurried down stairs and opened the door.
"Kristoff! You look so handsome!"
He grinned. "You look great!"
Anna blushed. Elsa came down the stairs behind her and looked at the time. 2:02.
"Where's Jack?" Kristoff asked.
"He gets off work at 2. He'll be here in about half an hour."
❄❄❄
Jack hurried home after work and scrambled to get everything put on. He wore nice pants with a nice teal T-shirt and black shoes. He hurried to his car and over to Elsa's, hopefully not too late.
At 2:35 he arrived and scurried to her door. Elsa opened it before he could reach the handle. "Jack!"
"Wow," Jack breathed, looking her up and down.
Elsa smiled. Just then, another car pulled up to the house. It was unfamiliar to Elsa. It was black and sort of run down, but kind of had an antique look to it. Two people emerged from the car.
"Tooth! Showed up just in time." Jack said.
Tooth stuck her tongue out at Jack as she walked up the walk with a boy with black hair and pale skin.
"I love your dress!" Anna admired Tooth. She wore a green, purple, blue, and yellow dress. "Thank you! Bought it myself," Tooth teased.
Anna chuckled.
"Can we go now?" Blake Pitch said quietly to Tooth.
"Oh! Blake wants to get there soon so he can start taking pictures."
"Alright, let's get a move on then!"
❄❄❄
Three cars pulled up to a big building on the square. It had a dome top and a big balcony, perfect for a dance.
Tooth and Pitch hurried in with two couples trying to keep up behind them.
"I have to take pictures of couples. See you in a bit," Pitch told Tooth as he left.
"Already get ditched?"
Tooth punched Jack. "He'll be back."
Suddenly, the pop music ended and a slow, country love song started.
"Would you like to dance?" Jack asked.
Elsa blushed. "Of course."
They stepped out onto the dance floor followed by Anna and Kristoff.
Elsa leaned against Jack as they swayed and he kissed the top of her head.
"Jack, there's something I need to tell you."
"What's that?" He asked, softly.
Elsa brought her head up to look at him. "I-"
"Jack!" Jack turned his attention to Tooth who was walking towards them. "Could you take a picture of Blake and I? Please," she asked.
The slow song ended.
"Sure," I'll be back in a minute," Jack kissed Elsa on the nose and followed Tooth to another room.
"There you are," Elsa turned quickly to see Hans walking up behind her. He was wearing the same as Jack, only with a white shirt. "I was afraid he'd never leave."
"Go away, Hans," Elsa walked away, but Hans grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him.
"Let me go," Elsa tried to wiggle out of his grasp.
"I know how we can both get what we want."
"And what's that?" Elsa was barely listening."
"Come with me," he pulled her to another area of the dance.
"Hans, stop, please." Elsa couldn't get her arm out of his hand. Hans turned to her and held her like they were going to dance. He nodded his head towards the corner. Elsa looked up where there was a dark window overhead.
"My Dad's up there. If he sees we're together, he won't be mad at me, and he won't fire your mom."
Elsa nodded. "But were not together."
"Exactly."
"And you need to stop."
"It's just for tonight," Hans whispered and leaned in to her.
Elsa glanced at the window. "This is wrong, please, don't do this."
Hans leaned in further. His face was less than an inch from her.
"Hans, stop." Elsa pleaded.
His forehead landed on hers. "I can't do this. You have to take your father's punishment and-"
Hans kissed her. Elsa leaned back but Hans moved with her. Suddenly, confetti and streamers fell from the ceiling. Hans let up and looked right through Elsa. Elsa turned away from him and looked to her left, where Jack stood, watching.
