Elsa did try to call Jack once. He didn't answer. It was Saturday morning and Elsa laid in her bed, not even caring anymore. She stared at the ceiling fan, watching it turn over and over. She wondered if Jack was thinking about her. Surely he cared enough. Elsa turned over on her side. The dress she wore to that stupid dance lay on the floor where she took it off. She got up and kicked it under her bed.
When she did, she caught a glimpse of herself in her mirror. She looked absolutely terrible. Her hair was down and knotted. She quickly braided it, not feeling like brushing it, and let it fall down her back.
Looking at herself, she realized what this was doing to her. It was beating her. She wasn't going to let that happen. Elsa slipped on jeans and a t shirt and some shoes. Anna was still in bed, so Elsa tip toed down the stairs and left.

Jack sat next to his bed, leaning against it. Thoughts were churning in his mind, but they almost weren't registering. He sat staring at his door. All it took to fix this was to leave his house and go to Norway. The thing pulling him there, though, was the same reason he couldn't. The vicious cycle circled his mind hundreds of times, yet, there he sat.
Jack's phone was warm from him holding it for so long. He pressed a key to light up the home screen. Looking back at him was a picture of him with Elsa. He was looking all goofy and she was kissing him on the cheek. Jack stared at for a while before turning it over and throwing it across the room onto a pile of blankets.
It wasn't long before he got up, grabbed a sweatshirt and his phone and hurried out the door.
❄❄❄
Jack knocked on the door.
Anna answered, looking sleepy. She perked up immediately. "What do you want?"
"Where's Elsa?"
"I can take a message."
"I need to see her. Now!"
"I'm not sure she feels the same way."
"Please, Anna." Jack begged.
"I'm sorry."
"Just let me in. Let me talk to her."
"No, she's not here."
"Where is she then?"
"I... I don't know."
"What?!"
"She left this morning, before I woke up."
"Do you have any ideas where she might have gone?"
"I figured she went looking for you."
Jack thought. Where would she go? She didn't know exactly where he lived. And they didn't exactly have a special place. Or did they? Jack got an idea.
"Thanks Anna!" He hugged her quickly and ran back to his car.
"Glad I could help!" Anna yelled from the porch.
❄❄❄
Jack pulled up to the ice rink. He hurried inside and down to the ice. "Elsa!?" He looked around frantically. He figured she must be in a back room, but just as he was about to leave, he saw a figure in one of the seats way up high. Jack ran up.
"Elsa?"
Her face stayed towards the ice. She didn't answer him. He sat next to her. She kept her eyes forward. "Hey."
"Hey? That's what you have to say?" She said softly.
"What do you want me to say?"
Elsa shook her head and looked towards the ice. Jack followed her gaze.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything I said last night."
"That doesn't explain why you said them."
Jack shrugged. "Jealousy? Hatred towards him? Anger?"
"Which one?"
"All of them."
"I didn't mean it."
"I know you didn't."
"I mean any of it. Letting him control me like a robot, the words I said to you, I just-" She didn't finish it.
Jack nodded. "I know." He hugged her and she didn't push him away.
"What now?"
"I'm not sure," Jack answered.
"About us."
"I'm not following."
"If we're going to stay together, what about the end of the summer? We'll both be going off to collage and who knows how often we'll see each other."
"We figure out a schedule."
"But-"
"Hey," he turned her to face him. "We've still got the rest of the summer to figure it out."
Elsa smiled, "alright," She said before he kissed her.
❄❄❄
"Where are we going?" Elsa said from the passenger seat of Jack's car.
"It's a surprise!"
"Of course it is," Elsa crossed her arms.
Jack smirked. "We'll be there soon."
Elsa watched as they pulled into Burgess District. They drove past many houses and were soon almost to the other edge of town. Elsa looked at the street signs. "Are we going to-"
"Shh! No guesses!"
"Not even one?"
Jack laughed, "nope."
"Ugh, fine." They pulled just out of town where a brown house stood surrounded by trees. The place was scenic and peaceful. Jack stopped and parked the car in the drive.
Jack got out, and Elsa followed him, both leaving their phones in the car. A flourishing garden was neatly placed in front of the house. A tire swing swayed in the breeze on a tree on the other side of the house. The entire place was like a tiny heaven.
"Wow."
"You like it?"
"This is your house?"
"Yup."
Elsa stood gawking for another minute before Jack pulled her inside.
