Chapter 2- Restored

2 years ago, I decided to train with a sword. I'd chosen my calling- Swordsmaiden. I kept it hidden as I trained. Now, as I lay in bed, I hear a knock on my door. Opening the door, my shock so great as my eyes now looked upon Eugeo. "Eugeo!!" I now realize I had shouted his name but I was beginning  to  scowl. He is frowning, he never frowns. "Eugeo, what's wrong?" I ask. "Your sister.... I think she went to the end mountains..." My eyes are feeling hazy as I run. Nothing matters but my mission. 'Kirito! I couldn't protect you... I won't fail again! It won't happen to her to. 6 years ago, I failed you. This time it's different! I SWEAR! I'm not letting her get taken from me too!' Not want Eugeo to hear me, I was keeping it in my head as I charged into the cave. Casting a spell so I can see, I won't slow down. I just have to run. I slide to a stop as I notice her. 

Selka is tied up and goblins are here. Eugeo had came to a stop and I speak to him. "Eugeo, take out their torches on the left. Use this as a light." Giving him the flower, my eyes now rest upon a sword. "On my mark... 3. 2. 1. Go!!" I charge forward to knock out the torches. Eugeo doing the same. Now, it is dark. Grabbing the sword, I throw it at one goblin, killing it. I grabbed a larger sword and an arming sword. I throw the arming sword to Eugeo. "Don't think! Just swing like it's the axe!" I tell him before I run at the goblin. My sword glowed as I used my 'Stinger' sword art. I've stabbed 7 with a single lightning fast thrust. Immediately, I jump and spin in the air before I use 'Aerial Flush' to send a shockwave into the goblins. I had named the sword arts myself and invented them as I'm self taught in the sword.  I use 'Sonic Leap' to attack the big one before using 'Sharp Nail' on him.  I then got slashed by him, send flying backwards, I was in too much pain to concentrate on the Sacred Arts. Eugeo ran in to take an attack for me and my eyes widened as he was cut open. I ran to him and held him. "Eugeo!" I cried out. He grabbed my hand gently. "It's ok... I finally kept my promise... this time, I faught..." he smiled at me. "Go on, get up.... finish the fight..." his eyes closed, I stood up and looked at the goblins. "You're going to pay for what you've done!!" I roared and charged into battle, cutting down goblin after goblin with the long sword. Now, I looked at the big one and lunged at him with a howl, severing his arm. He moved to cut me in half but I caught the sword and kicked him away. "System Call. Generate Thermal Element! Javelin shape! DISCHARGE" I bellowed as I hurled the spear of fire at the goblin, he blocked it but barely. I then charged at him, slamming my sword down upon his guard before I broke his machete and severed his head. I then looked at the remaining Goblins. "You're leader is dead. By my head!" I said as I raised his head. "Unless you want to join him in death, then turn back! Go Back. BACK TO THE DARK TERRITORY!" I ordered with a conviction that suprised even me. 

They then started to run away and I dropped the head and ran to Eugeo, using the Sacred Arts to heal him the best I could. I didn't fully heal it but it was enough that I was able to take part of my dress and use it as a bandage. Afterwards, I freed Selka and shook her awake. "Selka! Selka! Can you walk??" I asked her and she shook her head, "Not right now, my legs are numb." I sighed in relief. "Thank the Gods, you're ok." I then hugged her tightly. She gasped. "S-sis!! I need to breath!" I then released her. "Alright then, Selka. Let's get you home." I then looked to Eugeo as I felt a masculine voice whisper in my ear. "Alice, Eugeo. Come and find me, I'm waiting at the top of The Grand Cathedral. I await your arrival." The voice was his. It was him. I was right, he lived. Kirito was waiting for me. Me and Eugeo! I then ran to Eugeo and picked him up,  I carried him back to town with Selka at my side. Once we arrived, I sat him down and he woke up. "Alice?" He asked me as he looked at me with his blue-green eyes. "Yes, Eugeo?" I replied. "When did you learn how to use a sword? And why? I thought you hated fighting..." he told me as I looked at him. "I've been teaching myself to use a sword for the past 2 years. And I used to hate fighting... until I gained a reason to fight. When Kirito charged that Knight with the axe, I knew why I must fight." I told him as I looked down. "I know Kirito's out there, and he's waiting. I'm going to bring him home." I told him as I stood up. He then grabbed my hand. "I'm sick of cutting that tree alone.. please, will you help me?" He asked and I then looked him in the eyes. "Yes." I told him as I felt a warmth in my heart. I knew I couldn't get to Kirito alone. I needed help and Kirito wanted Eugeo there too. But before he could leave Rulid, the Demon tree had to fall.
