Chapter 50- Go, Bercouli Synthesis One! Fight Hard! Die Well...

Consider this my way of paying you all back for having you wait so long! Two chapters in a row!

Bercouli Synthesis One and Emperor Vector circled one another, each Leader having learned that reckless abandon would only result in failure against their opponent. Vector made the first strike, backstepping before lunging for Bercouli. The Knight Commander quickly realized that the Emperor was aiming for his blindspot, Bercouli ducked just in time, losing a few strands of hair before slashing at Vector's knee. Vector jumped over it and attempted to sever Bercouli's remaining arm. Bercouli dashed backwards and dug his feet into the ground, spinning exactly 173 degrees and smashing his Greatsword into Vector's longsword. The Emperor jumped backwards as the Commander gave chase, moving to stab him. Vector, arrogant as he was, waited until the last second before he avoided the would-be decapitating strike, this caused a bit of his ear and cheek to be sliced. 

Bercouli watched the Emperor's eye widen. Bercouli smirked a bit, the Dark God had finally realized his arrogance would cost him. Bercouli then moved to cut him in half from the waist up, Vector barely blocked it in time and parried the strike as he jumped away. "It seems that I underestimated you, a foolish mistake, I admit. But rest assured, I won't make it again." The Dark God said to the Integrity Knight. Bercouli nodded, entering a guarded posture. "Then let's see how big of a difference that humble pie makes, Your Highness!" Bercouli challenged, Vector raised an eyebrow. "Is that a challenge?" The Emperor asked. Bercouli remained silent. Vector grinned ferally. "Alright, I'll accept that challenge. But you're going to regret it later." Vector told him. "We'll see who regrets it!" Bercouli shouted as he charged at Vector, using a heavy cleave in an attempt to break the Dark God's guard but Vector defected it, attempting to riposte the Knight Commander by impaling him. Bercouli sidestepped it, causing it to barely cut his side. 

Bercouli used the Hell Sweep Sword Art, Vector meeting it with Vertical. Bercouli started to push against Vector, getting a bit closer. Once he was within range, Bercouli kicked the Emperor in the gut. Vector coughed up saliva as Bercouli moved to behead the monster. He was too slow, Vector rolled out of the blade's path just in time. Bercouli then used an Upperslash which launched Vector in the air. Bercouli immediately tried to cut the Emperor in half as he fell but the Commander wasn't so fortunate. The Dark God had blocked the attack! Bercouli growled a bit and started to attack Vector with a barrage of attacks but Vector was able to deflect, parry, block, or dodge all of them. The best the Integrity Knight could do was a glancing blow. Bercouli grit his teeth a bit, slashing at Vector's head with a faint before kicking Vector's shin. At the same time, Bercouli went into Harpoon Tackle, skewering the Dark God but failing to hit anything vital. Only minor organs had been damaged by the stab. Thinking fast, Bercouli spun around and threw Vector away before he could counterattack. 

Bercouli healed his injuries with Sacred Arts, as Vector rose with his wounds closing before Bercouli's eyes. Bercouli's eyes widened but narrowed fast, it didn't take Bercouli long to realize it was Incarnation at work. Bercouli noticed a rock and used Incarnate Arms to throw it at the back of Vector's knee, making the Dark God stumble. Bercouli launched Incarnate Daggers at the Emperor while running for him, Vector was able to either absorb or deflect them. Not one did any real damage, which was what Bercouli planned on. The Knight used a faint, making it appear like he was aiming for Vector's arm but Bercouli quickly adjusted the swords trajectory and lightly slashed the Tyrant's knee. Vector stumbled as Bercouli attempted to sever the Emperor's head. The Dark God barely parried it in time, Bercouli activated Hell Sweep as Vector used 'Horizontal'. They deflected each others blows, both getting knocked back. Bercouli recovered first and persued Vector. It was clear to see the nervousness in Vector's eyes, the Dark God hadn't expected Bercouli to be able to put him on the backfoot. Bercouli realized that Vector couldn't drain his Incarnation, Vector couldn't focus enough. Armed with this realization, Bercouli doubled his resolve and used Incarnation to ramp up his offensive output. Bercouli HAD to keep the pressure on so Vector couldn't regain his mental footing or composure, if the Tyrant regrouped then Bercouli knew he had no hope of winning the battle.
