I sat beside the Tree, Eugeo hacking away at it. Together we had reached almost 75 hits today. We needed 100 a day, it had been 4 days since the goblin fight and we had 675 hits. Eugeo sighed and sat down. "I wish there was something stronger we could use..." he complained. "The only thing stronger than the axe would be a divine obje-" I stopped. "Maybe there is! Wait here!" I told him as I ran to where I had hidden the Blue Rose Sword and carried it back to Eugeo. "Okay, here we go." I said as I smiled. Eugeo gasped. "Alice! Is that???" I nodded. "The Blue Rose Sword from the cave." I grinned as I swung it with little effort, he was shocked. "I'm sure you can swing it just as easy." I told him and gave it to him. He gulped. "Swing with your body, not your arms. With swords, it's about how fast you swing it- not how strong you are." I told him and he nodded and swung it, lodging the sword in the bark and he was sent flying back. "Good job Eugeo!" I said to him with a giggle. He frowned. "But I couldn't control it.." he then saw the sword stuck in the bark and gasped. "I did that??!?!?" I nodded "Mhm!" He looked at me. "Alice.... teach me..." he said. "What do you mean?" He then dropped to his knees and looked down. "I still hate myself for it.. I was useless! I stood and watched while he was taken from us.... I... Please, teach me how to use a sword." He begged. "So I can become as strong as he was. So I can have the strength to keep my promise. So I can get him back..." he said with tears in his eyes. "Okay. But it won't be easy, it'll be tough." I responded and he chuckled a bit. "That's what I'm hoping for."
Over the next several Days, I taught Eugeo how to use a sword while we chopped at the tree. Eventually, he could lift it. He cut it down and I went to see Selka while Eugeo picked his next calling. "Selka?" I spoke and she looked at me. "I never told you that I found my calling, did I?" I asked her and she shook her head. "Swordsman. I'm a swordsman, well swordsmaiden really." I told her and she gasped and covered her mouth. "You're going to Centoria, aren't you sister?" Selka asked me and I nodded. She shook her head. "You crazy fool... Kirito must've rubbed off on you too much." I smiled a bit. "I guess so. Regardless, I'm leaving tomorrow. Me and Eugeo both. I don't know how long we'll be gone but when we come back..." I knelt down to look her fully in the eyes. "It'll be with Kirito." Selka smiled softly. "I figured as much, alright. Go. Just promise me, you'll make sure you three come home safe?" She asked me. I nodded. "We will. Just wait."
I knew Eugeo had told Selka what happened to Kirito but I had forgiven him. I planned to tell her someday myself anyways. Regardless, with a longsword and the Blue Rose Sword, Eugeo and I left Rulid. "Wait for me, Kirito!" I said as I looked at the cathedral in the distance. I had a piece of the tree too, I planned to have a sword made out of it when we reached the Capital.
