Chapter 65- ShowTime, Kirito versus Vassago

PoH was absorbing Sacred Resources into his Mate-Chopper, enjoying the carnage when he suddenly felt cold. He turned to look at the man who he'd been hunting for so long only to be frozen, along with most of the 20 thousand Red Knights. Everyone was in shock, especially Royne and Tiese, the real worlders, and Alice. "This is..." Tiese started, only for another Red-haired noble to answer. "A Perfect Weapon Control Art." Asuna got up and started to limp torwards Kirito. But PoH broke out of his icy-shell. "I've waited so long for you! Let's dance... Kirito!!" PoH shouted and charged to Kirito, Asuna, Royne, and Tiese moved to intercept him and Renly charged in but was hit to the side, knocked into Asuna and Royne, next to Alice. 

PoH leaped at them but, suddenly, a glowing barrier appeared, coming from a spectral hand. Asuna and Alice were shocked as they glanced back to see Kirito pushing up to his feet. His first step was a slight stumble, his next few were sloppy and he swayed from side to side as if about to fall. But with every step, he stood taller, and walked more purposefully and deliberately. As he passed by Alice and Asuna, and Royne and Tiese, by Renly, the Black Knight appeared larger than life in that moment. Although Asuna and Alice couldn't see his eyes, both of their eyes started to water as they could already see the warmth within them. Slowly, a corporal arm emerged from the empty socket and lined up with the hand holding up the Barrier, prompting his arm to materialize.

And, as he stood there, he spoke but two words. "Burst Element." And a wave of Luminous and Thermal energies blasted out from his right arm. Everyone was in awe and excited, Renly was glad to see a fellow Integrity Knight back on his feet, and the Real worlders were happy to see their friend was alright. But, even the one's with the most faith in Kirito didn't expect the power he demonstrated. Asuna slowly stood up, and spoke to Kirito. "Welcome back, Kirito." 

Upon hearing his fiancè's voice, Kirito would've once been ecstatic to see her again. But this time, it felt surprisingly... empty, unsettlingly so. Regardless, Kirito looked back at the girl. "I'm back, Asuna." He said softly as he looked back to PoH. "So, you're finally awake, huh? Seriously, you're the best, Kirito." PoH said as Kirito approached him, extending his arm torwards Alice's sword. He used Incarnate Arms to call it to him. At a glance, he could tell almost everything about it... including that it was named Elucidator. Kirito felt a single tear roll down his cheek. Why had Alice picked such a name? He couldn't say, not for certain.

"Alright! Let's continue where we let off. What got put on hold in Aincrad, the continuation of 'ShowTime', Kirito!" PoH said and Kirito merely looked at him with contempt. Kirito, as he awakened, somehow realized things. His perceptions had grown and he could feel most of the Integrity Knights, but not his Uncle. And by simple reasoning, it meant he was now the Vice Commander. This thought unnerved Kirito, but it didn't embarrass or scare him like it once would have. However, Kirito remained stoic and just looked at his enemy. Suddenly, PoH smirked and charged at Kirito. Kirito blocked and parried his strikes with the Elucidator, but without the rest of the Blue Rose Sword, was quickly overwhelmed.

"Just throw away that crappy sword and use your left hand." PoH taunted, causing Kirito's insides to burn. He thought he could win but his reflexes were slow and his strengthed had lessened compared to what he was used to, he was weakened from his slumber, and now he was cornered.... and his only way to win was to throw away the Blue Rose Sword, but the Blue Rose was his friend... his brother, he couldn't throw it away! "Those guys you froze killed a ton of your comrades." PoH said. "I know how you do things. Turning people on each other, sowing seeds of hatred, and inciting the next battle. You really messed with in Aincrad, but you won't get away with that in this world!" Kirito responded as he remembered the torment he endured because of PoH. "No way!" 

"Yeah? And what will you do? Once the ice melts, those guys are going to massacre all of your precious friends. The only way you can stop that is to kill those guys first. Go on, give the order. To slaughter them all!" PoH exclaimed. Kirito just grit his teeth in response, wondering how it was possible a guy like PoH even existed. "Well, if you want to be stubborn and die, that's fine." PoH said with a disappointed expression. "Don't worry, after I kill you, I'm going to put Lightning Flash and the others into the ground. Every last one of them!" PoH bellowed as he pressed his Mate-Chopper into Kirito's shoulder and neck.
