I walked torwards him. "Hey, Eugeo." I greeted him, "Do you remember me?" I asked. "I'm sorry but I don't know who you are. But thank you." He replied in a monotone. "For what?" I questioned him. "For bringing me my sword." Then his sword began to vibrate a bit at my side before leaving its place and flying across the room torwards him. 'Incarnate Arms?' I thought. "Incarnate Arms..." Kirito whispered, not that far away from me, "That is a technique that is niether Sacret Art or Enhancement. It's a separate power, allowing one to use their willpower alone to affect physical objects, that only a few Knights- including Bercouli- have mastered. I've used once or twice without realizing it in the past but still... I'm much more experienced than him, so he shouldn't be able to use that with such ease when I can barely use it at all." Kirito told me. "It's okay, Kirito." I smiled back at him, "Sometimes, you've got to fight to get your point across." I turned back to Eugeo. "What're you going to do with that sword, Eugeo?" I asked him. "I'm going to fight you, for that is what she wishes." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Just because you were ordered to?!! You're seriously going to fight without knowing who I am or why you should fight me!" I shouted at him, he looked at me coldly. "I don't need a reason to fight you. She gives me what I want..." I raised an eyebrow, both curious and enraged. "What you want!" I screamed at him, "Is it more important than your brother!" I yelled at him, he looked down. "I don't know. I don't want to know. About you, or who you are. I've had enough..." My eyes watered as he said that, "Eugeo...." I then, slowly, drew my sword. "Hey, Eugeo? You probably don't remember but I'm the one who taught you how to use a sword. As the master, I'm not going to lose to my student yet." I told him as I entered my stance.
Me and Eugeo charged at each other, his sword glowing neon-green as my glowed bright blue. I locked swords with him, looking him in the eye. "Why? Why did you lose to the Synthesis Ritual!" I said to him with disappointment. "Wasn't the reason you trained to be a swordman, and left our home town - Rulid- and came to the Capital, to Centoria, because you wanted to find Kirito? Isn't the reason you carry that sword because you wanted to keep the promise we made and make up for letting Kirito get taken 8 years ago? I thought the reason you faught was to take your brother back home!" I then sidestepped him, and kicked him in the side before I conjured an Umbra Element, and discharged it in Lightning shape. I sent a torrent of Black Lightning at the fallen Knight. Eugeo managed to block most of it, but some of it hit him. Seeing my chance, I charged at him. "EUGEO!!!" My voiced boomed throughout the arena, "You are Eugeo, a human like me! You're Kirito's brother and my apprentice!" I shouted at him, trying to both get him to remember who he was and weaken his resolve so I could subdue him easier. I activated a sword skill, and brought Elucidator down upon Eugeo's guard. He blocked my attack and I jumped back immediately. I charged at him and a lightning fast flurry of slashes, jabs, blocks, and parries ensued for a brief time before we locked blades. I once again looked him in the eyes, "Eugeo? You and I have never faught seriously before, have we?" I asked him, "I've always wondered which one of us would win if we seriously crossed swords. So I'm not going to go easy on you, Eugeo!!" I started to go on the offensive, my sword glowing golden as I pushed Eugeo back. I then did a backflip, kicking him in the chin, the instant I landed on my feet- I lunged at him and spun in midair, smashing my Elucidator against his Blue Rose Sword. His sword got launched away and I ran at him, moving to give him a mild gash on the chest. But he then extended his hand to me and uttered the phrase. "Burst Element." I spun my sword in front of me just in time to prevent any real injuries, however I was pushed backward but as I moved through the air. I started chanting, "System Call. Generate Thermal Element. Javelin shape. DISCHARGE!" I hurled the spear of fire at him. "Generate Cryogenic Element. Discharge." He monotoned, creating an ice wall in front of him to absorb the attack. I then landed beside Kirito.
"Alice, don't push yourself too hard. Swap with me for now, I might do better against him anyway." Kirito said to me. "No, Kirito. I have to do this. He's my apprentice, my responsibility. I have to be the one to beat some sense into that thick skull of his!" I responded to him. I knew that Eugeo's synthesis must be incomplete so I had to be able to get through to him somehow. But could my words reach him? "If you say so, Alice. But if you don't start kicking his ass soon, I'm going to take over." He told me and I glanced at him. "That won't be necessary but thanks for the concern, Kirito." I then looked over at Eugeo, that yellow glow engulfing my vision. "LET'S GO! EUGEO!!" I then sprinted to him, side stepping from left to right as I did so, before jumping at him and going for a heavy strike. He blocked it and I stepped to the side and went for a cross-cut, followed by a thrust, an overhead strike, and an upperslash to finish off. My strikes were all blocked or dodged but my final strike landed- putting an obvious chink in his armor. I then tried to use Vertical Arc against him, he countered with a one-hit skill, Power Strike. I then immediately went into Sharp Nail, hitting his shoulder, drawing some blood. I then kicked him in the chest, sending him flying backwards a bit.
"Eugeo!" I cried out to him. I then ran over to him and launched a series of aggressive attacks, I managed to draw blood from him in a few areas. His shoulder, his cheek, his left leg, and some spots on his right arm. I then knocked him back with a heavy overhead strike. He then used an attack against me. "Euego, do you know what that skill you used is called?" I asked him. "Baltio Style. Storm wave." He answered in his same monotone. "Do you remember who taught that sword skill to you?" I asked, questioning him further. "I don't know or care." I grit my teeth, it was going to take more than words to break Administrator's Art. 'Cardinal told me to pour my heart out to Kirito with my sword. Maybe, it'll be enough to draw that crystal from Eugeo? No, it has to be. What I've infused my sword with will reach his soul, that's what I believe.' I then closed my eyes and filled the room with that golden light. "EUGEO!!!!" I screamed at him as the light was drawn in and absorbed by Elucidator, causing it to grow slightly and glow bright gold. "You have to remember!" I yelled at my friend as I went on an all out offensive, beginning to take over the battle. "Remember! There are people precious to you! Back in Rulid, there's a girl who's waiting for our return! You know her, she's my younger sister! Her name is Selka!" His eyes seemed to dialate slightly as he heard that name." I then pressed my advantage, attempting to take away not only his sword but his arm. "Golorosso-senpai, he's the one who taught you the Baltio Style back at the Swordcraft Academy! Royne and Tiese, our paiges who worked with us right until the moment we had to say goodbye! Remember, Eugeo!! REMEMBER!!" I then went in with Vertical Square, he blocked me on the first hit which was what I wanted. "Remember Tiese! The young girl who idolized you and put her faith and trust in you by putting her fate, her own future in your hands! She's waiting for you back at the Academy!" I then went into the second hit, lashing him across the chest, and he blocked the third hit. "And above all... wasn't your wish to go back home and complete your family?!" I asked him as I jumped away from him and ran at him, slashing his side with the final attack. "Didn't you come to Centoria so you take back the brother who was taken from you! Aren't you here for Kirito?" I shouted, desperately trying to make him remember. His eyes widened as I mentioned this, "Remeber!!" I yelled at him, clashing my sword against his as we seemed to be mostly even. "Your father's name is Orick! Your sister is Sulinea! You were born and raised alongside me and Kirito, and we made a promise!" I shouted him as I landed an attack that carried enough force to splinter off some shards of his armor. "We promised to protect each other.... that promise is why you chose to use that sword! You picked the sword Kirito couldn't wield because it made you feel like you weren't weaker than him! You wanted to be as strong as him, strong enough to do what you thought was right! Using that sword made you believe that goal was achievable! You came to Centoria and carry the Blue Rose Sword so you can do what you couldn't 8 years ago, so you could be the one to save him! You wanted to save him so you could keep our promise!!!" I then ran at him and charged him while yelling out "Enhance Armament!" I clashed swords with him for a brief moment, before he was blown back and his armor was shredded by my blade's flowers. I stopped my Weapon Control Art, I followed it up with Stinger and proceeded to clash with him, I did a backflip and jumped off of his face by kicking his face with both legs, I rose to a height over twice the height of Eugeo. I brought my sword down with 'Helmbreaker' as hard as I could, breaking Eugeos guard. "Burst Element!!" I yelled, releasing an explosion of thermal energy which sent him flying backwards. "You know it's true! You have to remember, Eugeo!" I yelled at him as I chased him down and started to aggressively attack him again. The crystal in his head was now visible and I knew I found the memory. It was our promise. I was pushed back at first, I charged him again with a battle cry and Eugeo did the same, as I locked blades with him. I saw those emotionless eyes of his, but this time, they weren't empty. Instead of a void, I saw a clear sky with stars, likely precious memories, twinkling in the distance. Euego then parried my strike and was looking at Kirito. "Did you remember, Eugeo?" I asked at him, excited that I might have gotten through to him. He was looking at Kirito before he stabbed his sword into the ground. "Enhance Armament." He said in a sad voice, it was the voice of resignation. "Alice!" Kirito cried out as he moved to draw his sword but was stopped as we were both trapped in his ice. "Eugeo.... why?" I whispered to him as he stood up. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I was encased in the ice.
