Smoke, fire, flares are going up, flares are going up Oh, won't wave my white flag, no This time I won't let go I'd rather die Than give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight Won't wave my white flag, no Oh, I won't go down slow I'd rather die Than give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa White flag never going up, never going up, no, no White flag never going up, never going up, no, no White flag never going up, never going up, no, no Oh, won't wave my white flag, no This time I won't let go I'd rather die Than give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight Won't wave my white flag, no Oh, I won't go down slow I'd rather die Than give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight, give up the fight Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Wave my white flag Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Raise my white flag, no
They cheered and screamed.
Me:*smiles* Wassup Omaha!!!
They cheered I did 3 songs that were hype and a b**ch was out of breathe.
Me:*smiles* Alright ya'll we need to take a chill pill for a second cause a b**ch is tired
They laughed.
Me:*smiles* How ya'll feel about the new album?
They cheered
Me:*smiles* I love ya'll alright lets do a chill one no time to die
They screamed and the instrumental started and I sat on the step of the stage with a blue spotlight on me the other lights were out or very dim as I sang.
Me:oooo mmmmm yeah I should've known.........I'd leave alone.........just goes to show.....that the blood you bleed is just the blood you owe.............we were a pair......but I saw you there............to much to bare...you were my life but life is far away from far was I was stupid to love was I reckless to help was it obvious to everybody else that I'd fallen for a lie
The crowd began to sway
Me:You were never on my side...fool me once fool me twice are you death or paradise now you'll never see me cry theres just no time to die.....mmm ooooo mmm...........I let it burn.......your no longer my concern.....faces from my past return..another lesson yet to learn....that I've fallen for a lie you were never on my side fool me once fool me twice are you death or paradise now you'll never see me cry theres just no time to die...........yeahh no time to die yea...........no time to die.............. fool me once fool me twice are you death or paradise now you'll never see me cry theres just no time to die
They cheered as that was the end of the song.
(P.S. this '......' means she is draggin out notes)
The lights came back on as I got up, I did 4 more songs then it came to the end of the show.
Me:Alright lets end this on a good note
A stage assistant brought me a mic stand and an acoustic guitar. I put the mic in the stand, I put the guitar strap on.
Me:This song is for all the underdogs
They cheered and the instrumental started and I started playing and singing.
Me:She was walking in the street, looked up and noticed He was nameless, he was homeless She asked him his name and told him what hers was He gave her a story 'bout a life With a glint in his eye and a corner of a smile One conversation, a simple moment The things that change us if we notice When we look up, sometimes They said I would never make it But I was built to break the mold The only dream that I've been chasing is my own
As I sang and looked into the crowd I saw him, Jake standing in the crowd just staring at me. Although I continued as usual he creeped me out.
Me:So I sing a song for the hustlers trading at the bus stop Single mothers waiting on a check to come Young teachers, student doctors Sons on the frontline knowing they don't get to run This goes out to the underdog Keep on keeping at what you love You'll find that someday soon enough You will rise up, rise up, yeah Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh She's riding in a taxi back to the kitchen Talking to the driver 'bout his wife and his children On the run from a country where they put you in prison For being a woman and speaking your mind She looked in his eyes in the mirror and he smiled One conversation, a single moment The things that change us if we notice When we look up, sometimes They said I would never make it But I was built to break the mold The only dream that I've been chasing is my own So I sing a song for the hustlers trading at the bus stop Single mothers waiting on a check to come Young teachers, student doctors Sons on the frontline knowing they don't get to run This goes out to the underdog Keep on keeping at what you love You'll find that someday soon enough You will rise up, rise up, yeah Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh Everybody rise up You gonna rise up, ay I sing a song for the hustlers trading at the bus stop Single mothers waiting on a check to come Young teachers, student doctors Sons on the frontline knowing they don't get to run This goes out to the underdog Keep on keeping at what you love You'll find that someday soon enough You will rise up, rise up, yeah
They cheered and screamed .
Me:*smiles* Thank you and goodnight omaha!
I walked off stage and into the green room. I talked to connor about Jake as I've seen him in literally every state I've been in since we met in the gas station.
