On the first of Catherine's birthday after they married, Jane decided that it needed to be extra romantic.

Heading downstairs at half past five, she tied her hair up. Catherine's favourite thing for breakfast was pancakes, so Jane decided she would make a small stack of heart shaped pancakes, with sliced strawberry on the top.

She quickly got to work, setting out to make Catherine's birthday the best one yet.

It took until half seven to make the pancakes. Jane placed them on a tray with a cup of coffee on the side and took them up to her wife.

"Catherine," Jane spoke softly as she flicked the light on. "Catherine love," she said again after realising Catherine was still asleep.

"Morning Jane," She answered grudgingly after been awoken.

"Morning Cath," Jane giggled sweetly, "I made you breakfast! Happy Birthday," Jane kissed Catherine's head as she sat down next to her.

"Aww, Jane! You really got to stop doing that!"

"Doing what?" Jane jumped back, wondering why Catherine didn't appreciate the gesture.

"Doing stuff that makes me want to kiss you senseless," Catherine laughed as Jane lent back close to her.
