Seven

His words kept ringing inside my head. His grin was embedded in my mind.

I wasn't able to answer. Marami akong gustong isigaw sa kanya pero ni isa walang lumabas sa bibig ko.

"We don't have to discuss it now. Tapusin muna natin ang kasal ni Cael at Era. Then, we'll have the talk."

The talk? I don't owe him any talk.

I don't need him. I don't need a distraction. What I need is, to set terms with Aiden so we would meet on a common point. Regardless of the issues we both have with each other.

But don't you think Kiel outranks Aiden in the gene pool?

NO. I quickly shoved that question out of my mind.

Kiel may look like he's straight from a magazine, but I refuse to be impregnate by a man like him. He has too many side chicks. Getting me pregnant will require a lot of work and I prefer someone who would devote all his energy and man's essence to me and no one else.

I maintained my silence and thank God because he followed the same path. But it didn't give me peace. Every now and then, I'm anticipating him to drop another of his tricks and riddles on me. Is he always like this?

When it's time to board, saka ko lang naalala na kailangan ko pala siyang isama sa'kin. Napa-face palm ako. Nagtaas ako ng tingin at nakitang nakangisi siya sa'kin.

"We need to get you another flight." I muttered.

He stood up and took my luggage with him, "Already taken care of. I'm in the last flight with you."

I looked at him bewildered. "Paano mo naman nalaman na ito ang oras ng biyahe ko?"

"Yan told me about it."

Napapikit ako. Of course, she would tell him that. Even if he orders her to swear that she's the new president of the Philippines, she would. Si Yan pa, ang number one kahinaan niya ang mga guwapong lalake.

"Why are you doing this, Kiel?" I silently asked.

"I told you. We'll talk about it after the wedding." Then he offered his hand. "C'mon, we have to hurry or else we'll miss another flight."

I frowned at him before slapping his hand away. I stood and tried to take my luggage from him, but he refused to give it back. Hindi ba dapat atupagin niya ang sarili niyang gamit. Now that I think about it, where are his anyway?

Hindi ko na tinanong. I don't want any conversation with him anymore. He's making me go insane. Hindi ko na maintindihan ang sarili ko. When I'm not with him, I'm certain that I don't want anything to do with him or get involved with someone like him. But somehow, whenever he's around, part of me is dying to unravel all the mysteries that is Kiel Loyzaga.

When I got to my assigned seat, I was able to breathe easy knowing that he's not seated beside me. But Kiel Loyzaga, brought plenty of his tricks with him. He swooned one of the attendants into letting him switch seat. And to make things worse for me, the space beside me is completely unoccupied.

"I'm not letting this damn thing fly if I'm not seated beside you." He said with a wicked grin when he settled himself.

I rolled my eyes at him and opted to look outside the window instead. This is going to be a long flight.

Due to the air traffic, it took a bit longer for us to take off. Kaya habang naghihintay, nag-text na ako kay Era na magkasabay kami ni Kiel papunta ng isla. Mukha namang tuwang-tuwa siya dahil agad akong nakatanggap ng reply.
