Twenty Two

"How's my baby doing, today?" I heard Kiel silky voice followed by the door shutting close.

I spun around to face him but I wasn't able to have a peek of my favorite smile because he's already sporting a frown. I bit my lip, trying to look less guilty as I can. It's hard. Especially now that he's in his three-piece suit. He looks very powerful and potent.

He sighed and took long strides until I'm in his arms. Two strong bands held me tight by the waist, flushing me close to his rock-hard body.

"Doctor Carmela said you need to lessen the stress. Hindi ko alam kung saang banda diyan ang pagbabawas ng stress." Sabay nguso niya sa jam-packed kong schedule board.

I splayed my palms on his chest and started rubbing it, easing the bunch muscles I feel under it. "Relax ka lang. I'm actually offloading. Joel will be taking over some of my events."

"Bakit hindi pwedeng lahat na lang?" He argued.

I rolled my eyes at him, "Hindi pwede. Hindi ako sanay na nandito lang sa opisina. I need to go out every now and then."

"Then I will take you. Kahit saan mo gusto, dadalhin kita roon."

I melted right there. Damn, he's really good with words.

I clutched at the lapels of his suit coat, getting lost at the sea of those dark oak-colored eyes. Sana makuha ng magiging baby namin ang mga mata niya. I love the way it changes colors depending on how much light strucks his face. And right now, it's in the shade of light cognac.

"I'm not going to overwork myself. Saka sinabi ko naman sa'yo, I'll only take three events a month."

Mabilis niyang iniiling ang ulo niya. "No, no, no. I know how in demand your services are. Isa lang kada buwan. Plus, you also have to run the shop then there's also a lot of administrative work."

"Kaya ko naman lahat ng 'yon, Kiel."

He gently brushed the hair out of my face, before grazing his thumb on my cheeks. "I know you can. I'm not underestimating you. As a matter of fact, I feel so fucking proud of my baby because she's the best in everything she does."

"Are you sweet talking your way for me to agree with you?" I asked, my eyes squinting but really, I'm a tangled thread of mush and elation.

He simply shook his head, his hand now running up and down my spine. "Sabi ni Doctor Carmela, there's a big chance na magiging maselan ka magbuntis. There will be a huge change in your daily routines when that time comes. Ang akin lang, bakit hindi natin umpisahan ngayon 'yong mga pagbabago para hindi ka magulat kapag naka-laman na ito?" He then placed one protective hand on my tummy. "Would that be such a bad thing?"

Looking down at my fingers playing with his coat, I realized he's right. Damn, he's better at this than I do. At ako ang may gusting magka-anak.

Trapping my chin with his fingers, he tipped my chin up for me to meet his gaze.

"One event a month?" He asked, judging by the way he grinned at me, he knows he won the argument.

I suppressed my smile and faked my annoyance. "Okay, one event a month. I will also start training Yan for the administrative tasks."

His face lit up and he beamed at me. Clearly, he's happy with my decision. He then boosted me up in the air and twirled me around. I squeak in surprise, snaking my arms around his neck. When he stopped the motion and I felt my feet planted on the floor, he bent down and claimed my lips.

It was supposed to be just a light, brief kiss, but his hands started roaming, giving my ass a hard grab.

"Kiel," Suway ko sa kanya pero parang panay hangin lang ako nailabas ko.
