"Here's your order," says by one of the staffs in the food court. At last, I can already feed my starving tummy. For all you know, I wait for about ten minutes and now I'm holding the food tray heading to the table that I've planned to go to. I can't help but to stare at my orders. These look tasty! But as soon as I turn around to walk in the pathway, I notice that some students lay their glances on me while they're talking with their friends.
"That's the girl you've talked about, right?" A blonde girl whispers, then she looks away when I catch her eyes laid on me.
What's the matter here?
Even though I'm very much curious, I choose to focus my attention on the tray I'm holding and at the same time on the way that I may not get bumped into. Although I can feel the stares of the people around, I just act normal as if I could not observe them. After several steps of walking, my feet suddenly cease to step on because of this guy who already occupies the table that was vacant a while ago.
"Why don't you sit with me, you lady?" He curiously asks. His voice is a bit baritone that if anyone hears that, perhaps will get interested to figure out whose voice come from.
Out of patience, I turn around to see the creature who has just talked. I gulp when I find him standing already. He directly takes the food tray I am holding which leaves me shocked for a moment. I don't understand why I didn't resist away of his act.
"Sit now. Don't be shy. It's just me," he utters while his eyes are following on me as I walk towards the table he is in. I can't believe I will be sitting with this guy who feels so close to me which actually not.
Heaving a sigh, I force myself to sit down on the chair he offers. I directly get the spoon and fork and I eat immediately. My tummy is already in need of food and so I have no time to talk with this stranger if ever he starts the conversation.
While I am chewing the pork steak, I catch him stealing glances on me while he is also chewing food. Every time I catch him doing that, he just smiles that cause to appear his dimple.
"Yes? Is there any problem?" With curiosity I ask him which I should have not uttered through my mouth. What a wrong move!
"Nothing. I know it doesn't seem important to you but I want to ask if you can still remember me," he responds with a hint of smile. His dimple appears again which catches my attention from time to time. As for me, it totally suits on him to have that, perhaps his best asset.
Giving my full attention to his face, I think straight if I have met him already and where our paths have crossed.
"I don't think I know you," after a minute I answer. I don't know why he waits for me that long just to hear my response.
"Well, I understand. You've already walked out that moment when everything was still in trouble with the guy on the hallway."
I get surprised by what he says. Unconsciously, I try to fix my eyeglasses I am wearing to direct my eyes on him.
"Oh, you're the one who intervened yesterday! I'm sorry, I fail to recognize you."
"It's ok, you don't need to be sorry," he says, then he drinks his cucumber juice. Afterwards, he gives me smile that hides something I may get worried about. "Well, who am I then to be recognized by you after all?"
