I shake my head many times to clear things out in my mind.
Argh! Did he just say that he should have been my boyfriend before my latest ex?
I can't get his point! I'm literally baffled. I'm starting to feel dizziness in me.
To tell honestly, I'm still thinking of it even if we already part our ways upon entering the school gate. He's right, we're late for about minutes. Good thing the students are busy falling in line in front of the flag pole. It's a long way we have walked before we reach the school which I think I spent too much time with him.
Geez. I really hate that guy, he's making things complicated!
After flag ceremony, we're now walking on our direction to our room. Holding the strap of my bag, I sigh many times in order for my consciousness to be at present. Wanting to condition myself, I shake my head for several times. It's such an embarrassment a while ago that my other classmates behind me wait for more than a minute before someone told me to take my step so that the line would move again.
Gosh, what's wrong with me right now? I must focus! I should not think of other else!
Our class starts right away as soon as our adviser arrives. She gives a lecture about our lesson for today and later on, she roams her eyes around.
"This time, class, I want to group you into five. Please count off starting from here."
At the end of counting, everyone of us goes to the assigned seats for every group. I'm in Group 4 and by sitting on the area assigned, my classmates who are in the same group as mine, look at me with a smile on their faces.
"You are our group leader, Alesha!" My boy classmate appoints me.
"Yes, I do agree! No objection, right guys?" Clyde adds when she sits beside me. She's also in Group 4.
"If that's what you want, then sure. Why not?" They all laugh at what I utter.
We notice that Mrs. Caldazo starts to post on the board a cartolina in which our tasks are written. Our eyes are already on the tasks as one of the members provide a paper to copy the task. I volunteer to be the one who will write down but it discontinue me to do it when Clyde intervenes.
"Sha, you're copying the task that is for Group 3." And other members agree.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I crumple the paper right away and there's someone who provides a paper again.
Afterwards, we do the brainstorming as to what we're going to do to convince the community when it comes to support the political agenda. Others think the right way and all their suggestions I write it down on the paper. But whenever I open up my idea to them, they seem to look at each other.
"Is my idea not suitable?" I ask them all in our group.
"It's not that so but we're referring here to political agenda," Clyde clarifies and it enlightens me up.
"Alright, it's political agenda. I'm sorry. I thought it's for economy."
Clyde taps my shoulder and he looks at me thoughtfully. "Is there anything that bothers you? You're out of your mind lately."
Breathing deeply, I plainly smile and lean on the chair. "Maybe. I don't know. Can I excuse myself first?"
"Sure, but where will you go?" She asks but I'm not able to answer it because I'm on my way now to the door with my bag. I hear my teacher's voice calling me but I still continue on my steps.
I don't know what's happening to me right now. But what I want is the freshness of air. I want to calm my mind so that I could have the focus. What does really bother me now?
I wear my bag behind me as I walk on the pavement. Few steps later, I notice that student as if a master here who is currently smoking. Gosh, why did I notice on what he does? I don't want to see what he's holding on. But as I'm observing him, he's facing on the other direction busily talking with. In that reason, I have the guts to pass by as I direct my sight ahead of the way.
My steps are in a hurry and I never look at the both sides of the way but only at the center. I don't give even just a single glance those students who are about to pass me by, not until someone grabs my hand.
"Hey, where are you going? Are you ditching from your class?"
Abruptly, I take my hand away from his.
"Can't you leave me alone? This is all your fault!" I shout at him madly. With a shock on his face, I let my sigh out.
"Why? What happened? What's wrong?"
I punch him suddenly on his chest because of my anger.
"Ouch! Stop that, Alesha."
"Argh! Are you asking now what's wrong? Can't you figure it out? What you did was totally wrong!"
"What are you talking about?" Confusingly he asks. I punch him again on his chest but I fail because he hurriedly face it with his mighty hand. "I don't know what is in your hand but I find satisfaction from it whenever you punch me."
I wonder he let go of my hand. Now, I have to calm because other passersby tend to look at us. I mean, they are looking at him, perhaps they are attracted by this guy. So gross! No doubt we're now the center of attraction here. But it gets me more annoyed because of his mischievous smile.
"Why are you smiling that way? Can't you internalize what I just said? What you did was totally wrong! It's your fault why I'm out of my mind starting earlier! I hate you!"
"Hey, hey, just calm down."
He tries to comfort me but I push him away instead.
"No! Don't you dare come close to me! You're giving me a reason to hate you!"
I push him again and again as he tries to control me. He roams his eyes to the passersby as his face is getting red due to shame.
"Don't mind us, guys. My girlfriend just gets stubborn."
Argh! What did he say? Shame on him!
"Hey, can't you see they're already looking at us?"
"I DON'T CARE!" With full force, I shout at him. "COULD YOU PLEASE STOP THIS NOW?! YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH! YOU'RE NOT HELPING ME, OKAY?!"
