Chapter 6

(Samuel pov)

I had managed to get Rin out of his room and now we're on our way to the dining room to eat with everyone else. Rin willingly but hesitantly agreed to going to the dining room, so at least we've made a little bit of progress. I'm hoping that will help him and make a lot of progress. All we want to do is make him feel loved again like he should have always felt. He should have always felt loved and Shiro did that but this past year all of that was taken away from him in a snap. But we want to bring that back but we know we can't just rush on him and scare him completely. He doesn't exactly know what's going on. Three days ago he asked why we keep him and I said because we love him and he went really deep which scared me and when I told the others they were freaked out and scared at his deep knowledgeable.

(Samuel pov)

Smaule opened the door and let Rin come in front and Samuel behind him. Everyone stopped talking and looked at them, pacifically Rin. "C-Can you stop staring ple-ase." Rin managed to get out without almost no stutter. "Sorry Rin." Egyn apologized and everyone else stopped staring and started talking again. "Come sit down." Egyn said offer a seat in front of Lucifer. Rin hesitantly and slowly made his way over to the chair offered to him at the top of teh table. There was one other empty chair at the top of the table that was bigger than the rest. Samuel sat beside Rin and Lucifer sat at the other side of the table opposite Rin.

"I'm glad you could join us Rin." The voice boomed in the large open Room. Rin instantly turned his head to the voice and he instantly had fear grow to its limit inside him. "I'm not here to hurt you, calm down." Rin growled at him in effort to say stay away. Satan didn't oblige go Rin's efforts. Rin growled more until it faded into a whimper and he ran out the room.

(Satan pov)

'Does he really hate and fear me that much?' I thought as I felt like I would cry and I wanted to go after him but I knew that would only make things worse. "I'll go after him." Samuel stood up and have a small smile and started to walk off to Rin's room in the large long hall way. "Father we just need to give him time." Lucifer said in an effort to comfort me. "But I've given him time." I said worrying bad anxiously. "Some people need more time, Rin's bene through a lot. Right now Rin is learning to trust again and he hasn't felt love or comfort in a long time so this must all seem sketchy to him." Lucifer explained to me. "He knows Samuel best so letting Samuel start the trust si the best thing to do right now." Egyn said. Lucifer, Azazel and Egyn are my three wise sons. I hummed and nodded in responce and eventually I faded into deep thought.

(Samuel pov)

I knocked on Rin's door but there was no answer. I knocked again and listened to hear any movement. "I'm coming in." I said a little loudly and opened the door to see Rin nowhere to be found. I double checked before I started to panic and ran off down the halls in search of my littlest brother. 'He could be anywhere in this huge castle!' I thought and then got an idea. 

"You guys I need your help!" I notified in the mind chat. "Yes what is it Samuel?" Father responded with a question. "Rin's not on his room and I need help finding him." I explained and asked for help. With the words Rin and missing they all agreed at the speed of light and at with that we were in a search party looking of Rin in Fathers' massive castle.

Time skip

(Samuel pov)

I was walking around and we were to tell everyone once we had found Rin. I got to the door that was locked go everyone but royalty. 'He wouldn't be in there as he can't get in there. Can he? I'll check just in case.' I open the door and it willingly opens as I am a royal. If you were not a royal it would not open and it can't be forcefully opened.

When I loo around I see Rin standing and walking around in amazement a d love for the garden. I was flowers, grass, and a big willow tree. There were crystals on down places but they were only small. And there were lights flying around. I none of us ever really took to the garden. Father only got it to connect with Yuri as he felt alone after she died. I was about to go in but then got an idea.

I asked father to come to the garden in a private chat. "Because right now I think it's best you talk to him." I explained. "Very well, thank you," Father thanked and  soon got to the garden and made his way in and I told my brother's what happened and we got some food.

(Rin pov)

"Beautiful isn't it?" Satan surprised me as I  thought no-one else was there. I started to panic wanting to be somewhere else where I wasn't scared, even if Assiah is my only option. I'd rather be there than being in Gehenna being in fear every second of the day. In Assiah I was scared but when I was in my dorm I felt at home. 'Home... I felt at home with Ukaboch and Kuro... And their demons. And now I'm scared of the demons I'm supposed to call family. And you shouldn't be scared of your family, I hate it that my friends and brother are-' "That's how you feel don't you?" "What?" Satan questioned at my question. "You hate it that your own flesh and blood is scared of you don't you?" I said looking forward and not daring to look at thgge de- person I am scared of the most. The one I also hate the most but I feel that hate has lessened just now. I understood something. I understand something. "Yes, I hate it that my own son hates me and is scared of me. That's what I'm trying so hard to make you happy and not make you hate me. O asked Samuel to help you in hope you'd trust his words and eventually trust me and your brother's. We all love and care for you and that's all we've wanted to ever show you." He replied with an explanation. "That's kinda relatable..." I trailed off as Satan sat down beside me, he was quite a bit taller than me, I had stayed the same size as I was in Assiah so compared to Satan and everyone else I was really small. "I hate it that everyone is scared and hates me for things I have not done. For your cruel doings." I gritted my teeth at the last part. "It wasn't exactly my fault but okay." Satan whined and mimicked me a little. "Oh so that blue fire at the blue Knight wasn't you?" I asked in a sarcastic was as I knew I would win. "Of course it wa-" Satan his his finger pointing up and his mouth open as if to speak and he looked off then down and closed his mouth. "Hehe, the great king has been defeated by a mere child." I said in a playful and winning way. "You wanna bet on that Mr." He got up and grabbed me and started to tickle me.

(Third person pov)

"AHAHAHAHA!! PUT ME DOWN!!!! AHAH S-STO-P!!!" Rin shouted in between his laughs. Rin was over Satan's shoulder and was being tickled. "Eventually he stopped and our Rin down and they both sat down again. They talked a little and Rin's dear degraded to nothing and eventually he was left sitting with his head leaning on Satan's arm. "Can we finally be a family?" Satan said out loud looking out at the dark garden with little lights flying about. The crystals glowed. It was beautiful.

'Maybe you're not as bad as I thought...'
