"Ja, pag maganda ang pasa, quick mo kasi binabantayan nila si Faith. Jules, sliding or B quick lang ha."
"Yes coach." They said in unison.
"Alright. Creamline!!" Coach Tai shouted.
"HAPPY!!"
We were on the fifth set, our score is 19-19 in favor of Choco Mucho. Just like in the training camp the match between us is so intense that the viewers were even shouting sulit ticket.
The luck must be on our side as Isa Molde committed a service error, making us reach match point.
It was Jaja's turn to serve and the rotation is in our favor as we have a full spiker front line. The serve was safe and I instructed to direct it to the setter's place. As usual, they went to a high percentage spiker, Kat Tolentino. She smashed the ball but Dani was there.
Jaja looked at the other side first before setting it to the already running Jules. But was dug by Kyla Atienza. It was over received and went back to our side. Jaja took a glance first, before jumping and dumping the ball to the other side.
The referee blew his whistle declaring our team winners.
They shook and greeted each other a great game.
When we got back to the dug out they were shouting and celebrating like it was championship game.
I remember what happened earlier.
Relax ka lang. Kanina pa kita nakita, and I know hinahanap mo ako. Get your head in the game. That's not the Creamline that we saw when we were on the camp.
Deanna whispered to my ear. It was not the words that made me relax, but her voice. Her soothing and calming voice that made me focus on the game.
After weeks I finally heard her voice.
"J. Nandito si Deanna." Ate Den shouted on the door.
Speaking of, I stood up and walked towards the door.
"Hi. Congratulations."
"Thank you, and thanks den kanina. It helped me focus on the game."
"So hinahanap mo nga talaga ako?"
"Maybe. Don't get ahead of yourself Deanna Wong." I lied, and I know that she knew I was.
She smiled. "Uhm. You have team dinner right?"
"Yes."
"Ahh I was hoping I could snatch you to them. Share dinner tonight."
I looked at the players who are preparing to leave and the coaching staffs that are only waiting and helping other players to stretch.
"I need to talk to Ate Den first."
"Sure. I'll be at the parking lot."
"Okay."
I walked towards Ate Den and before I could speak she was already nodding yes.
"Go ahead". She said. "Kami nang bahala sa players."
"Thank you ate." I kissed their cheeks and got my bag and walked towards her car. I was on number coding so I didn't brought mine.
"Where to?"
"Ramen?"
"Okay." Her face lit up like a child that was given a candy.
We arrive at the place and then we placed our order.
"The players from our team that will join the national team has already been revealed to us earlier by sir Morris."
"Yea from us too."
