"It was your idea." I said.

"Oh right, and blaming me will help a lot." She said in sarcasm.

It was 2am and she have just given up on finding Jema.

She looked everywhere. Here at the house, Jema's work and basically every bar on the New York City. But nothing.

"Ang tanga tanga ko." She said. I gave her a glass of water cause she was panting. She looked at it and then looked at me. "Do you have much more stronger than this?"

I smiled before sitting beside her.

"She broke up with me." She said as she sipped her water.

"Obviously. She saw you kissing another woman."

"She kissed me. I didn't. She was drunk."

"Well Jema doesn't know that. And why did you said that you were terminating your contract when we clearly agreed that you'll stay?"

"I wanted to know how badly she wanted me on her company."

"Cause?"

"What cause?"

"Kasi?"

"Anong kasi? I mean..." She think for a moment and when she can't give me an answer she realized how idiotic she was to do that.

"Exactly my point."

She sighed. "Now, I'm stuck with a boss that I hate and I don't even have a girlfriend."

"All of that is because you can't tell her your medical condition." She sighed. "Baket ba kasi ayaw mo pang sabihin?"

"Cause I don't know how to start."

"Look, I'll help you. Follow my lead. Jema..." She looked at me with a high brow. "Come on, say it. Jema..."

"Jema..."

"I have leukemia." She looked at me again but this time angrily. "What?! It's the easiest way. Straight and direct. Now, after she cried, tell her everything."

"You are a sadist. Do you know that?" Deanna said and rolled her eyes on me.

I laughed but she didn't.

We stayed there quiet for a minute before telling her the truth. "She's at Ced."

"Huh? She's there the whole time?"

"Yeah."

"I need to talk to her."

"Hep hep hep bup bup bup." I held her arms holding her back down to her seat. "You are not going anywhere."

"Why? I need to talk to her."

"Mainit pa ang sitwasyon. Let her be. You wouldn't want to end up like me and Jia. I confronted her right on, and we had an un-repairable relationship." I said sadly.

She looked at me with a knitted brows as she sat back down. "You're- You're right. And sorry about you and Jia. I heard about it."

I gave her a small smiled and looked away. "Well, I guess we needed that stronger drink anyways."

I stood up and we drank until there is sun shines.
