Just like I planned, I already terminated my coaching contract with Choco Mucho, my parents contacted the best surgeon that they can find on the States and made an appointment after I convinced them.

The chance on living after the surgery is 85-90%. Not bad right? But the chance on walking again? 50-40%, which is horrible. To me it was better than 0% at all.

"No." She said firmly and walking back and forth.

"Hon, I want that surgery and it's already processed." I said trying to convince her to be on board with my decision.

"No. The chances are too small. Why are you insisting on this?!" Jia asked me, hands on her waist.

"Because I want a fully functional Bea de Leon when we start our family!" I shouted. She was taken aback with my outburst. "I want to carry my kids, I want to build my their own playground in the back yard, I want to be there when they walk their first steps. Not in this wheelchair." I tapped angrily the handle on my wheelchair where I sat.

"Bea.."

"If it matters, you don't have to be there." I continued. "You can stay here and wait for me. Continue your job, we can talked via Skype. You can stay here." She looked away from me as my eyes were starting to water.

"I won't." She looked at me and I stared at her waiting to explain what she just said. "You remember 3BB camp? They granted me the slot, and... I accepted."

My eyes widened by her news. "That's great, Jia. Wow." I said proudly.

"No, it's not. It will be years and, if you're going to do this surgery, I should be there, with you, by your side."

I rolled by wheelchair towards her and held her hand. "It's okay. Go. That's your lifelong dream."

"You're my life."

I smiled. "I know. But, this is a once in a lifetime chance. I will be better. I promise."

"Thank you Hon. I was about to call them to cancel but..."

"No more but's. Just go okay? My parents will be there anyway. I won't be alone." She sighed and leaned in to kiss me softly. "When did you find out?"

She hesitated to tell me at first. "Last week."

It's fair cause I already planned my surgery last week too.

"Congratulations Hon." I said and she leaned in to kiss me too. "I love you."

"I love you, too." She cupped my face and I leaned my face towards her hands and kissed her palm softly. "Want ice cream?" She asked and my face lightened.

Days after, she will be flying to Thailand for the first 6 months of camp.

"You got everything that you need?" I asked her as she rolled my wheelchair towards the gate. We moved back to our home in Makati. They said that it would be best for me to stay here rather that being in the condo.

"Yes, don't worry about me okay? I will be fine. Basta magpagaling ka kaagad. Call me when you have the chance and I will too. Update me with the process and everything okay?"

"Ang dami namang bilin." I said and chuckled.

"Bea!" She said in a threatening tone.

"Yes! I will."

"Jema and Deanna are here to look after you while I'm gone."

"You don't have to. Deanna got shot too, remember? She should be resting."
