5 years later.
3rd person POV.Bea heard a video playing on the other room. She maneuvered her wheelchair inside and settled it beside Jema who was sitting on the couch, watching intently.
Bea speaking on the video:
"No. Wait. Heh. That's long overdue. I'll just skip ahead and forward to June 2019, when Deanna, left Philippines to study for her Masters here at New York.""Oh God, you still watch that?" Bea asked her.
She looked at Bea before smiling. "Yeah. It has a lot of memories, sweet moments, bad decisions." She looked at her. "Speaking of bad decision, you still going tomorrow?"
"Are you going to have a 'long-lecturing-talk-me-out-of-it' speech to me?"
"No." She said.
"Cause its a waste of time noh?"
She chuckled. "Yeah."
They looked and watch Bea on the video speaking about Deanna and Jema.
"Are you going to the cemetery today? To visit her? It's her death anniversary." Bea asked Jema.
"Yep. You wanna come? You know 'for the last time'. "
She nodded.
Jema smiled at her. "Okay, after this video." She said and sat comfortably on the sofa.
"I missed being like that." Jema looked at her and looked at the video. Bea was smiling and laughing as she mentioned the story when Jia was to fulfill her dream to Thailand. "Being in love, smiling all the time, afford to laugh, afford to make someone laugh, and most especially walking, running, jumping, playing."
After the doctor gave her a choice of having prosthetic legs, which Bea declined, she became this grumpy old woman that don't like everybody, even her parents, Ced and Deanna. With the exception of Jema.
Jema had been the only person that supported her with her every decision, including tomorrow's procedure. So she was the only person she's been nice with.
"Be.." Jema said and was cut by Bea.
"Oops. You said you won't have 'long-lecturing-talk-me-out-of-it'. My decision's final Jema. I'm dying tomorrow."

They went to the cemetery that day to visit Deanna. Yep, she died of leukemia, 2 years after. Chemo couldn't save her.
"Hey, babe. Look who I brought." Jema talked to her tombstone.
Jema had been juggling her work, taking care of Deanna and Bea. Jho had been out of the picture cause she was busy handling the company that her father left, who died of heart attack 1 year after the accident.
Bea wheeled herself in front of Deanna and started to cry. It's her first time to see her friend since the day she shooed her from her life.
"Hey buddy." She started to cry and cry. She couldn't find her voice. "I'm so sorry. I declined you, I shouted, I bullied you. I'm so sorry. I know, I was supposed to be by your side on your deathbed but... I was busy being a jerk, well I have always been. I think I was built that way."
Jema smiled.
"Jema agrees." Bea said and Jema tapped her shoulder. "How is it up there? Is it cold? Should I bring a jacket?" She chuckled.
"I won't reminisce anything now cause we'll have a long talk about it tomorrow. If I'm going up there."
"You are." Jema said.
