Twenty-Eight

The game day finally arrived and we were up against Vietnam on the first day. It wasn't an easy game but in the end we won in four sets.

We are up against Thailand the following morning. I was nervous and all cause I was first six again.

The Men Volleyball team are against Thailand for the first game. I was going to the bathroom when I overheard a conversation that will affect our game.

I poked my head towards the door, or at least my right ear, to hear much clearer.

"We can't do that, It will be an embarrassment sir."

"Why? You lost to them 5 months ago."

"We didn't just lost sir. We gave them a good game. 5 setter game and we can do better than that."

"Alyssa, do what I say, or videos will be out in public."

"What do you really want sir?!"

"Even if I tell you, you can't give me anything."

"Try me."

"Do what I say Valdez, or those videos will be out."

I heard footsteps so I hastily turned around. I took a glimpse who was it and it was Sir Edgar. Why is she talking with Ate Ly? And what are they talking about?!

I heard another footsteps.

"Ate Ly?"

"Jema! Kanina ka pa jan?"

"Yes ate, and I heard all of it." She looked away. "Ate, what are those videos? What is sir Edgar saying?"

"Don't tell everybody."

"Ate, I need to tell somebody. That's blackmail."

She sighed. "Not here."

"Okay tara pasok ulet tayo." I was about to enter the room that they just talked but she stopped me.

"No, let's tell to them."

"Guys." Ate Ly called all their attention. Good thing that the managers were already out and watching the games before us. "I need to tell you something." They all looked at us.

She sighed before saying. "Kaya natin 'to."

She was about to leave when I stopped her. "Ate?!"

"Okay okay." She sat down cause she looked like she was loosing all these energy from talking to sir Edgar. "Sir Edgar talked to me, to throw the game."

"What?!"
"HA?!"
"Ano?!"
"Excuse me?!"

They all reacted.

"And if you don't?" Mika asked.

"Well there is going to be a video released on public."

"Video?"

"It was me and Mika kissing."

"What?!" Mika exclaimed.

"Okaaaaay. People know that you are together right?" Jia said.

"Hon, I don't think they are out in the public." Bea said.

Ate Ly looked at Mika and the latter was getting stressed. Her hands were squeezing her temple.

"So. That was it, and I don't know what to do."

"Wait ate." I said. "Sir Edgar said videos."

"Videos? Plural? Ilan ba yung videos natin?" Mika asked.
