It's only been a week since I asked out Shiloh but it already feels like it's been forever. I have spent a majority of my time at the Eastwood's house but since Shiloh and I are dating Mrs. Eastwood told Shiloh she has to have another friend over at the same time so she just invites everyone.
The funniest thing is that a majority of the time no one is actually paying attention to me and Shiloh because it seems just normal that we are here together. Payton and Dylan on the other hand. Not so much. Everyone is keeping eyes on them.
I was in Eastwood's house for the 6th time this week and it was odd because Payton and Shiloh weren't there to greet me even though they were the ones to invite me over. Mrs. Eastwood opened the door and ushered me in.
"Welcome Noah. The girls were downstairs a couple minutes ago. I don't know where they went but they are probably upstairs."
"Thanks. I'll go check."
Before I could walk upstairs the doorbell rang again. Mrs. Eastwood opened the door again and Tanner, Trevor, Evie, Noah and Dylan walked inside.
"Welcome back guys. Payton and Shiloh are upstairs." Mrs Eastwood welcomed everyone into the house.
"Thanks for having us." Evie smiled at Mrs Eastwood and Sam returned the smile.
Mrs. Eastwood really seemed to enjoy Evie. Even though she still called her Elena Violeta. It just seemed like a respectful thing for her to do since the rest of us still called Sam Mrs. Eastwood I guess.
Dylan led the group upstairs. He knows this house very well apparently. I guess I shouldn't be bitter about the whole situation with Dylan and Payton. Dylan is a good kid. He does pretty well in school and he doesn't even provoke as many fights as I do/did. It's just weird for us to understand. Payton is still a kid in our mind and Dylan might as well be an adult at this point. It didn't help that we found them in a very compromising position. Shiloh might have even been pretty chill about it if they had come out and said it to our faces.
The fact that they didn't is what makes it seem so wrong to me. All this information was just dumped on our heads without any warning. It also doesn't help that Payton is 14.
When we got upstairs we started searching for the girls.
"Shiloh, we're here!"
Shiloh walked out of her bedroom and saw the whole group. She didn't say anything at first but you could tell by her body language that she was very nervous. She kept biting her lip when she was looking at us.
"What's wrong Shiloh?" I asked her as she stood in front of us.
"Um. I forgot you guys were coming over."
"How do you forget you invited people over?" Evie asked sarcastically.
"This isn't a necessarily good time." Shiloh bit her lip.
"Whatever it is you are doing, we can probably help you." Trevor offered.
"I, uh, I'd have to ask Payton. She's really the one this isn't a good time for."
"Why? What's wrong with Payton?" Dylan asked.
"No. You don't get to talk." Shiloh scolded him.
Dylan bit his lip but kept quiet.
That was odd. Shiloh does seem to have a rocky relationship with Dylan but it didn't seem serious. However this was serious. She was actually mad about something.
"Can you ask her if we can come in?" I asked Shiloh.
She looked at me for a second but nodded. Shiloh disappeared into her room and the rest of us were left in the hallway where we sat and waited for something to happen.
