After a particularly long day in Santa Cruz we went back to the hotel after dinner. We had gone surfing, walked the boardwalk several times, gone shopping because why not, and found dinner. I was absolutely exhausted afterwards. Everyone took turns showering off the saltwater and as soon as I was clean I face planted in the cot. I was exhausted.
....
I don't really know when I fell asleep. I do know that I woke up around 3 am. I opened my eyes because I heard a weird noise. I sat up and Dylan was hunched over in his bed. Noah had a pillow over his face. I couldn't see the other side of the room so I don't know what Trevor and Tanner were.
I leaned over and poked Noah. He took the pillow off his face and looked at me.
"What's happening?" I asked him.
"What do you think? Trevor and Tanner decided it was a good time to get it on while the rest of us were sleeping."
"What?" I looked at him with wide eyes.
"Oh god, Trev." Tanner moaned in the darkness.
Noah pulled his pillow back over his head.
"Nope. I can't do this." I stood up abruptly and walked out of the room.
I was out of there so fast I forgot my shoes. I walked out into the hallway and walked over to the girl's room.
I knocked on their door but no one answered me. I looked behind me and Noah and Dylan were standing there looking miserable.
"Did any of you bring your phone?" I asked.
Dylan pulled out his earbuds and his phone out of his pocket.
"Can I see it, I'm calling Shiloh. She needs to let us in."
Dylan handed me his phone as he tried to blink sleep out of his eyes. I unlocked it and dialed Shiloh. The first time I called her she didn't pick up. I called her again and this time she did.
"Dylan, it's 3:30 in the morning, what do you want?" She snapped.
"Let us in!" I pleaded with her and Noah knocked on the door for good measure.
"What are you guys doing up at 3 am?" Shiloh growled.
"Let us in and we'll tell you." Noah bargained with her.
"I hate you all." Shiloh mumbled.
"Shi, hun, who are you calling at 3 in the morning?" Evie asked in the background.
"The idiotic boys want me to let them in." Shiloh answered.
Shiloh opened the door and we smiled as we walked into her room. Evie was sitting on Shiloh's bed and Shiloh rubbed her eyes.
"You guys want to explain why you woke me up at 3 am to let you into our room?" She asked as she yawned.
We all winced.
"Trevor and Tanner. They um, it got a little too hot and heavy in our hotel room." Noah explained.
"Oh wow, they are bold bold." Evie smiled.
"It was awful!" Noah groaned.
I stumbled to Shiloh's bed and face planted.
"So what do you boys want to do about it?" Evie asked as she was still sitting on Shiloh's bed.
I was too physically exhausted to answer so I stayed face down on Shiloh's mattress.
"Well I'm up now, I kind of want to do something." Noah smiled.
