Students were already scrambling through the corridors, not wanting to arrive late in their first morning classes. Others were still having breakfast in the Great Hall.

During Ancient Runes class, Hermione glanced at Sam in her seat, remembering the way Sam made her feel that morning.

How could Hermione forget about what happened in the lockers that morning. About what almost happened.

Her mind was going in circles, visioning a couple of "what if" situations that could happen if Draco wasn't there. She thought about how she wanted Sam to-

"Miss Granger," Professor Babbling called, snapping her fingers. "Are you okay, my dear? You seem ill."

The whole class turned their heads to look at Hermione.

Hermione bowed down, rather embarrassed, as she muttered a reply, "I'm fine, Professor... It might be the pudding this morning..."

"Oh, dear, you should see Madam Pomfrey. Sometimes, puddings and cornish pasties make my stomach upset as well."

Hermione licked her lips nervously then nodded back. Then she glanced nervously at Sam and Sam was staring back at her with a look of concern.

During lunchtime, Hermione watched other couples just casually making out by their tables. She couldn't stop picturing her and Sam doing that.

Hermione then wondered why they never make out in public. Although, she honestly didn't want that. She just wanted to kiss Sam badly and continue what wasn't completed.

Sam held her hand under the table as she whispered, "Everything fine?"

Hermione only nodded and held Sam's hand tighter for reassurance.

Hermione helped Sam study Transfiguration after dinner that night. Although, Hermione had hoped it would be just the two of them. However, Harry, Ron and Neville joined as well.

Apparently, their long quiz tomorrow took its toll on them. And only Hermione seemed to be very exceptional at the subject.

After the late night lecture, Ron abducted Sam for some Quidditch tips. Gryffindor would be having a game this Saturday against Ravenclaw. Back to back fight alongside Slytherin and Hufflepuff. Ron was persistent, Sam had no choice but to oblige.

Hermione couldn't manage to get some alone time with Sam. She expected they would be spending some time left in their hiding spot before the end of the day. Probably to finish what Sam started.

Hermione was so frustrated, she went to bed without saying goodnight to Sam.

Hermione rolled over in her bed as she tried to sleep. She felt so guilty over what she did. What if Sam expected me to wait for her?

She deliberately sat up and took her wand under her pillow. She tried her best to be as quiet as possible now that all her roommates were already asleep.

"Lumos," Hermione whispered and then there was light.

Hermione carefully pulled something from her bag. It was the magical notebook Sam had given her.

She scanned through the pages of old messages she and Sam had written to each other. Until she was on the latest blank page.

Hermione took her quill and began to scribble something on it, hoping against hope Sam was still there.
