(⚠️⚠️⚠️SMUT WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️⚠️)

It was a minute before the end of Hermione's Transfiguration class. Professor McGonagall had just provided them homework on the Consequences of Improper Human Transfiguration due next week.

Hermione couldn't help but blush when she saw Sam already waiting for her by the door. Sam had her mischievous grin that made Hermione feel butterflies in her stomach. Sam's necktie wasn't tied as always, just draping by her shoulders.

"I've got something to show you," Sam announced, as Hermione walked up towards her after class.

Hermione tiptoed to kiss Sam on the cheeks. She then pulled Sam's necktie and tied it for her.

"How's Transfiguration today?" Sam asked.

Hermione pursed her lips as she successfully tied a knot then arranged Sam's collar. "It was okay.."

Then they began to walk, hand in hand, heading straight to their hiding spot for their free period.

"Okay?" Sam asked further, probably expecting her girlfriend to tell her more now that she's sounding so unsure.

"Well, it's really difficult this year," Hermione said. "The whole class can barely understand half of what Professor McGonagall says nowadays. I, too, had to ask her to repeat the instructions once or twice."

Sam nodded. "I get that... I might fail her this year."

"Don't say that," Hermione said, clutching her hand tighter. "That's why we have to study... and what was it again that you were gonna show me?"

As they reached their hiding spot, Sam pulled something from her bag.

"It's my own version of Hogwarts map," Sam said, smiling. "I just finished this last night."

Hermione looked at her in awe. She held the map and studied it for like two minutes. It looked almost exactly like Harry's and people can be seen on it as well, although not as detailed as Harry's. "How long did you make this?"

"About a month," Sam said. "I've just added and revised some places from Draco's. Such as, Mr. Filch's spot, where he spends most of his time with Mrs. Norris." Sam pointed on the left side of the parchment. "And.... the kitchen over there...."

"You've been there?"

"Just once.. I saw elves in there too. They didn't let me in. Although one elf gave me a slice of treacle tart.."

Then Hermione fell silent. She tried to suppress her stand against elves forced into servitude. Her friends sometimes didn't see her point, elves included, when she tried to fight for their rights by creating S.P.E.W. (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare).

"What's wrong?" Sam asked, noticing the sudden change of atmosphere.

"It's just that I don't get why Professor Dumbledore would employ these elves in the kitchen instead of letting them have freedom just like all witches and wizards have," Hermione said.

"I see.... Maybe they wanted to. You know, help Dumbledore."

"Mm, I'm not sure how I approve on that," Hermione disagreed. "They deserve the same rights just as humans do."

"You have a fair point. But I think it's just the way things are."

"You mean, since they're born as
Elves, they're meant to be slaves for the rest of their lives?" Hermione interjected. "It's ethically wrong."

"I just know that it's in their nature to look after humans... I think they don't know anything else other than serve families or school or-"

"That's because wizards and witches allow it. If next generations would change, then it wouldn't have to be this way."
