Chapter 26 - She Works Hard for the Money

"You look so happy lately." Rosé commented as Jennie entered the office on Wednesday morning.

Jennie sat down at the table in the break corner, where Rosé was serving them breakfast. Hyunjin and Jisoo were out shopping for office supplies.

"Well, it's because I am happy." Jennie said, making her smile even wider.

"So the trip, was really that good? We've barely had time to talk about it."

"It was perfect, honestly." Jennie took her mug of cocoa. Rosé never stopped acting like a mother to her.

"I can see that Lisa makes you very happy, more than Sowon ever did." Rosé admitted.

"I don't like to complain about Sowon, but yes, Lisa is perfect." She giggled. "Well, not perfect perfect, of course. She's kind of lazy and she's messy. Sometimes she's rude with people, but she is perfect... for me. She's so hard and broody on the outside but on the inside she's a big softie and a romantic. Even more than I am."

"Kind of hard to imagine that, from what I've seen of Lisa, but I believe you." Rosé said gently, pouring herself some coffee.

"There's so much you don't know, Rosé." Jennie sighed. "She's always gentle with me, even when I'm being impossible. She talks to our unborn son every day, even when she's tired and half asleep. And she never complains when I use her as a human pillow... she's so kind and so loving."

Rosé patted Jennie's hand. "I'm so happy for you, sweetie. I never thought that Lisa would be a perfect fit for you."

"Yeah, perfect in every way." Jennie gave her a sassy look.

Rosé's eyebrows rose curiously "What do you mean?"

"Well, I feel a little embarrassed talking about it. But I have to confess that I'm having the best sex of my life with her." Jennie commented, blushing. Rosé was her best friend but they never talked much about sex.

"Really?" Rosé's eyes widened in shock. "Who would have thought?"

"Yeah..." Jennie bit her lower lip. "You know, Sowon was a little dull in bed, but Lisa is totally the opposite. She just... she rocks my world."

Rosé blushed a little too. "Well, that is great Jennie, just great."

After spending the whole week trying to find a new job, Lisa was tired. Her mood only improved at night when Jennie was talking about all sorts of things and hugging her. They also talked about the nursery and Lisa knew that her plan for the house was going to be delayed. Mr. Kim arrived Friday with Jennie's crib and some other stuff they saved from the attic. Their guest bedroom was getting crowded with the new mess.

Jennie was nervous about Saturday, because they had a big wedding to deal with at the I Do Wedding Planning. Lisa helped her to relieve the stress with a very long session of 'hormone control.' But in the morning, Lisa woke up alone in her cold bed.

She was lazily eating a bowl of cereal when her phone rang; it was a call from an unknown number.
