TLH: Chapter 16

Ivan's POV

I snapped back when she slapped me hard. No one has dared to slap me like that. She even called me by my first name! I was shock to the point that I almost fired her but naunahan niya ako. Nang makalabas ng office ko si Eunica, napasuntok ako sa pader. Damn! Ano bang nangyayari sa akin?!

1 month akong naging cold sa kanya. Dahil nga iniiwasan ko yung nararamdaman ko sa kanya pero nainis ako dun sa nangyari sa elevator. In the first place, I shouldn't be there but nasira daw yung personal elevator ko and I don't want to take the stairs kaya I have no choice but to use the staff's elevator.

Hindi ko alam na ganun pala kasikip nun kaya sumiksik ako sa dulo. Walang nakakapansin sa akin and that's good. Hindi ko dapat papansin si Eunica nung nakita ko din siyang sumakay with a big smile in her face. I can't help but to adore her. I shook my head to that thought. But the next thing that happened, bigla nalang uminit yung ulo ko that's why hindi ko napigilan maging cold kay Eunica.

Minutes later, I just found myself following her outside the building. I wanted to stop her. I wanted to talk to her. I called her pero hindi siya lumingon. I was alarmed when I saw a motorbike coming her way kaya tinawag ko siyang muli.

"EUNICA!''

It happened so fast that she fell into my arms and thank God hindi siya nabangga nung motorbike or galusan man lang.

"Eunica! Wake up!" I shrugged her pero nakapikit pa din ito at namumutla. I touched her

Shit! She's burning hot! Damn this girl. Ano bang pinaggagawa nito?! Agad akong pumara ng taxi not minding the people around us. What important to me now is Eunica.

Pagkarating sa condo ko, agad akong umakyat and lay her gently to bed. She has a fever! But still pumasok pa din siya! Natataranta ako. Agad akong kumuha ng basin and towel. Namamawis na siya.

"Mmmm.." I heard her moan. She's embracing herself.

She needs to change first. I was about to do it when it hit me, "Shit.'' My heart raced and don't know what to do. Agad akong tumalikod at nag-isip. I called Manang right away para palitan ng damit si Eunica.

Mabilis naman dumating si Manang at pinalitan ng damit si Eunica. I let her use mine dahil wala naman siyang damit dito.

"Hijo, tapos na. Puwede ka ng pumasok." Manang Pilar

"Salamat ho, Manang." sabi ko dito at umalis na si Manang.

I went inside. Nakita kong tulog na tulog ito. I grabbed the basin na nakapatong sa side table at sinimulang punasan ito. Habang pinupunasan ko siya, I can't help but to look at her. She's sleeping peacefully like an angel. She has those perfect lashes, perfectly curved nose and pinkish lips. She's a goddess. She's beautiful.

I felt my heart leaped when my eyes was locked in her lips. I gulped. And in just seconds, I found myself with close eyes, feeling her lips. It was soft and I was contented for the first time in my whole life.

Bahagya itong gumalaw kaya napa-angat ako ng ulo at nakahinga akong maluwag nung nakita kong nakapikit pa ito. I feel her forehead,. Mainit pa din siya, I placed the wet towel on it. I stood up and inayos yung comforter sa katawan nito.

"What are you doing to me, Eunica?" sabi ko dito bago lumabas ng kwarto.

Hindi na ako bumalik sa office at sinabihan nalang si Mike at ang loko kung ano ano nanaman pinagsasabi, binabaan ko nga. It's been 6 hours at tulog pa din si Eunica. And it's almost 8 in the evening kaya napagpasyahan kong lutuan ng soup si Eunica. Marunong din naman ako magluto ano. Gwapo na, mayaman na, magaling pa magluto.
