Milana Ramirez was someone who never considered the possibility of her family all dying out before her. It started with her great grandparents before she was born, then it went to their sisters and brothers before they had kids. It then went to her grandparents and their brothers and sister, then her cousins, aunts and uncles up until her parents. Milana had been convinced they were all cursed.
Everyone was dying until there were only three members left of their entire bloodline. A bloodline that would soon be extinct. Milana had decided then that she wanted to enjoy her life before she went and died out. She had even convinced her sister of it; they had both been excited for their small trip to New Orleans. But unfortunately, the deaths of her parents hit her sister harder than Milana could have imagined. While Milana just saw it as a curse that was killing them all, like it was inevitable, like was supposed to happen. Even though she believed that, losing them wasn't easy on her either.
It didn't help that her sister decided that six months after losing her parents that she would take her life, leaving Milana and her uncle to be the last remaining of their bloodline. Her death sealed everything for Milana. She didn't mourn her death, she packed her bags and left Chicago to explore the country. Her time was approaching very soon and it wouldn't be long before she died as well.
Her being a historic geek decided to visit the place where her roots started, New Orleans. The infamous town that always seems to party no matter the day. One night in a bar, she met a young girl named Hayley who she shared a drink. While Milana would not categorize themselves as friends, she did believe them to be acquaintances. If she were to run into the girl again, then maybe the two could form a friendship.
Unfortunately, at the end of her stay in New Orleans, she finds out Hayley died and that she was now pregnant. But the thing she couldn't understand is, how was she pregnant if she still had her virtue?
