W1~ Monday
His mouth closes and I realise his eyes detach, suggesting he wasn't even going to say anything. Why would he say anything? He doesn't know me...
"Mel, you've seen the new kid, right?" I look at her whilst stuffing more food down my throat.
"The Oriental one?"
"Is there another new kid?" I scoff with sarcasm.
"Yes, I've seen him. So what's up?"
"Do you think he's-" I look up at the guy witnessing his side profile. His jawline sharp like a knife correctly fitting in with his slightly turned up nose. Bringing my eyes down to meet Melanie's, I watch her eyes follow the direction I was looking, landing on him.
"No." Her eyes finally look back down at mine when she turns around, shaking her head disapprovingly.
"What?!"I hiss blinking several times.
"Girl, you've got to be kidding me."
"I didn't say anything." My eyes open wide with amusement.
"You find him attractive, don't you?" Not leaving my eyes, she stares at me, waiting for a reply. Obviously, he's attractive, but I don't know him to be attracted to him at this stage.
"Again. I didn't say anything." Leaning back in my chair I cross my arms and glare into eyes of defeat. Of course I'm not going to say anything.
"Finish what you were saying then. What was it? ' Do you think he's...'"
"Yeah, do you think he's... eating a sandwich or baguette? Cause it looks good I might get it tomorrow..."
"None bitch. He's not even eating."
"How can you even see him, you didn't turn around?"
"I just know." She sticks her tongue out, giggling.
I laugh, just as the 'end of lunch' bell goes off, making me jump. Mel and I hug each other before she walks off her way and I go mine... to just the perfect lesson. Health&Social.
I get bored in every lesson of that. Honestly, what the hell do I learn, nothing but stuff I already know. I guess it's somewhat helpful, but I'm not really into it. Sadly, this lesson is compulsory, so everyone has to do it, no matter the case.
I make my way into the class and sit in my designated seat which is luckily at the back. Then I lean back in my chair, find a wall to stare at...and zone out.
Joloff rice.
Need to workout.
New guy.
What?
Why am I thinking about a guy I don't even know. I mean, I guess he's cute and all but he's an Oriental. What more am I supposed to expect from someone like him?The chair next to me screeches against the floor as he sits his ass down next to me. I gasp in shock, not realising everybody is starting at the two of us, laughing at him more than me.
Fuck, he probably thinks I'm making fun of him like the rest of them. But the fact that I've probably embarrassed him is even more guilt on my shoulders. After all, I was the one lecturing Moses about making him feel welcome.
"Miss Dele, is everything ok?" Mrs Harris questions me as all eyes transfer from him to me.
"Yeah I'm fine. I just thought I saw a spider." I look down, expecting the class to move on, but instead the laughing continues. I think, somehow I made it worse. I take a look up at him, watching his jaw clench... gosh!
