W4~ Wednesday

"Why are you in there?" I question my brother as he proceeds to make up the bed of the spare room.

The same boy who doesn't know how to wash a utensil is right here cleaning up the room. Whenever Ma tells him to sweep the floor he pays me to do the job, so the fact that he's doing this without being asked is...something!

"Do you expect me to spend four nights alone?"

"Well... yeah?"

"No, a friend's coming around whilst you, mum and dad leave."

"How long will your 'friend' be staying here?" I air quote him.

"Before you get back. That way we can spend holiday Monday together." He sarcastically smiles, urging the formation of a scowl upon my face.

"Have they left yet?" My watch reads 10:25, meaning I only have time for a quick goodbye if anything .

"Yeah." Thank God! I mean, yes they know I'm going to the island with friends (aka, Mel and Judas), but I'm trying to keep the idea of Adrian on the low.

"Good."

"Why is tha-" The sound of a beeping car interrupts his question luckily enough.

"Well, I've got to go." I wrap my arms around him and mess up his curls slightly which backlashes in my hand smelling like some old cantu product which is overdue a wash day.

"Wash your hair before your friend gets here." Rubbing my hands together and scraping off the smell from my hands on the side of my black joggers, I run down the stairs towards the door.

I step outside to find a black Mercedes g-class '18 behind the gate. I knew he's into retro stuff, but this... this I didn't expect. With the modern motorcycle he has, I would've never expected this. Even the brand Mercedes is long faded nowadays.

Jogging back into the house, I press the gate button on the touchscreen device behind the door, before waving for him to enter.

Once parked up with the boot facing the door, he steps out wearing an all grey tracksuit set. He knows what's up... that's all I'm saying!

"Morning, toffee." I give him a side hug, knowing damn well my brother will be trying to spy on me.

"Morning, sprinkles." The warmth of the name excites me. It's been a while since we've been able to call each other that due to being around Judas and Mel majority of the time. But I guess it's better late than never.

"You can come in, it's just my brother upstairs." I widen the door opening.

"You sure?" I watch his eyes anxiously scan the landing as if my parents will pounce from out of nowhere.

"C'mon." I tug on his oversized jumper, leading him up the staircase into my room.

"Wow! I need to help you decorate." Not even trying to go against him because he's right, I nod my head.

"That you do." My lips turn into a small smile. A smile of thanks and happiness. The life he brings to my room when plain...mesmerises me, his eyes do it all. They smile on their own.

"These bags?" His eyes glance at the large baby blue case besides the foot of the bed.

"No, the ones under my eyes." I roll my eyes at his naive self.
