His eyes held a shine that I couldn't explain. Hell I didn't even want to explain it. Derek was a way of confusion. He doesn't look me up and down or at my lips which was a first but looked me in my eyes yet struggled to. He looks away back at Sierra and Adalee then back my way before letting a stressed sigh escape his lips.

"Hi" He said and suddenly the air for thicker. I found my eyes straying around the awkward tension before I walked away. Before I could reach a good distance from him he held onto my hand but hard to hurt me

I looked down at his hand on my wrist and he pulls away "sorry"

"Are you ok?" I struggled to ask because it's like every time I ask someone that question it's like the world crashed down and shit happens

"I want to talk"

"Is that not what you are doing now" I glared playfully trying to lighten up my mood

"It's serious I'm not going into this conversation unless you say ok"

"What's it about?" I asked fearfully

"Sierra and I, me being in her life"

"Derek-" he cuts me off

"I'm not talking about being there every day I mean just hang out here and there don't tell her that I'm her dad it can be the four of us if you'd like" his voice sounded stressed as if he was contemplating this for a while and it held a tone of hope

"Look I get that you don't trust me because I hurt you but I've changed I...I talk to my therapist...I..I I'm trying to better myself to be there in case she needs me" his eyes flickered more and I could tell he wanted this but I wasn't sure if to trust him but Sierra is his daughter and I shouldn't deprive him from her but he did it to Jack.

"Want to spend the day with us" I mumble

"Really"

"If today goes well then you can have another"

Derek, Sierra and Adalee were having fun on the trampolines while I was eating ice cream looking at them. We finished our shopping and by that I mean decided on not maxing out Jack's credit card and stopped at the trampoline park. The girls found great pleasure in playing with Derek especially Sierra and it only made me think of Jack, how he couldn't get a few feet at Sierra when she was born but with Derek she acted as if she was a growth clung to his leg. And of course I wasn't going to tell Jack about today or any other meetings we have. If Jack can sneak around so can I. He does this to find answers to Derek's past well so can I because if you haven't noticed he talks to me better than he does anyone. I know for a fact that him and Stassie aren't speaking so it will be quite easy.

I know this because Jack's been dumb enough to speak in front of 2 children who's setting is on "do what mommy says"

"I think it's time for us to go" I said as I looked through WG messages. Getting frustrated about the problems Jack said he'd fix in the company

"Nooo" Sierra cried

"I wanna jump mommy" Adalee whined as she stood in front of me with her arms up

"You're getting heavy you know that" I said as I lifted her up into my arms and kisses her cheek

"You have to do it" she smiles

"Why is that?" I looked at her questionably

"Because you love me"

"And that is a fact baby" I laughed as I kissed her and blew on her neck making funny noises causing her to giggle

"Alright you big baby" Sierra folder her arms and glared at Adalee

"Sierra what did I say about being rude to your sister"

"What she's hogging all the love it's my turn" she pouts but tried to contain her outbursts of laughter at the same time

"Look who's talking about big baby" I laughed as I bent to her level letting her climb onto my back as I held Adalee in my arms still careful.

We were back home and the girls had their baths and were asleep. I was getting ready to do the same when Jack comes behind me and kisses my neck

"How was your day"

"It was fun" I simply say not wanting to talk to him

"Are you ok" he questions but I don't answer I just head straight to the shower and turned it on.

"You saw the article didn't you" he sighs and I nod

"Sammy you know I-"

"I'm not mad about that"

"Then what" he coos and turned me to face him

"Is the company to much for you?"

"No"

"Then why aren't you doing what you're supposed to be doing is it not import anymore?"

"Sammy you I love that company as much as you"

"Doesn't seem like it" I mumbled beneath my breath and he looks at me unbelievably

"I've been busy"

"Jack you know what it took to build WG if this goes down it's not only my dream but the money I took from my parents, the parents who were willing to give me everything though they didn't know me...you know they gave me half their share for this and it's not just me I did this for I did it for you and the girl...I want them to have everything and for you to still have music in your life and right now you're telling me you're sacrificing all of this to play Scooby Doo?"

My voice raised at the last part as I was in disbelief and he looked at me the same way I felt

"Yes I know what you're doing so Madison is just a dumb situation, I don't care if you do whatever it is you do with people and your mysteries because I can deal with the hurt but don't do it to Sierra and Adalee"
