The ride to the cemetery was long and quiet. I didn't find much talking was needed because in my head I was bawling my eyes out because I haven't been to see Giovanni since the twins were born. If I had I might be committing suicide trying to be with my angle. Eventually in time I would tell Sierra and Adalee about him maybe like when they're 16 and can understand things better.

The cemetery seemed a lot bigger since the last time I saw it. It just the fact that there laid more bodies here since there. I wasn't going to lie but I felt scared and I was shaking in my jeans. Ruby was too. We walked down an isle of brick till we stopped at a clean little marble stone just like the others.

Here lies a beloved daughter and sister Addison Rayelle Martinez

"Hey sis" her voice cracked cracked as she faught the urge to cry. A small smile was plastered on her lips

"It's me-" she paused "I miss you"

"Oh uh...this is Samantha she gave me a home...I'm Ok just like you wanted me to be"

"Hi" I said

"I wish you were here, you like her she had 2 daughters, they're twins, Sierra and Adalee, they remind me of us"

She smiles again and then turns to me

"Her husband doesn't like me much but I love her and the twins so I don't really care" she says while she keeps eye contact and I couldn't help but take her in my arms.

"I love you too baby" I say back trying to fight off the tears

We stayed a bit longer before we started walking hand in hand

This felt nice

"I want you to meet someone" I smiled nervously

Surprisingly it was only a few feet away. Standing in front of the little marble stone with his name on it I suddenly felt lost every moment with him flashed before my eyes.

"Who's this?"

"Just like how you lost someone special to you, I did too" I smiled lightly

"Giovanni" she read his name

"Ruby, meet my son"

She looks at me in shock and disbelief

"How old was he"

"He was just a few months old, Jack and I were going through some things and baby Gio got in the middle of it" I sighed remembering the how much I cried practically draining my tear ducks, how I didn't eat.

"I'm sorry"

"It's ok"

We took a moment of silence before we were interrupted

"Isa?"
(Pronounced as ee-sah)

Ruby froze and immediately went pale. She looked as of she was ready to faint.

I turned around and was now facing a familiar face from all those years ago.

Ruby has yet to turn around to look at this woman.

Her frame still slender, short, maybe an inch beneath me. I clearly remember her beach waved hair reaching her lower back now it was above her shoulders, cut into a sleek bob. Her face young and pretty much the same just with tired eyes. You know the dark puffy circles.

Ruby slowly turned around to face her and she was raging red

"Hola madre" Ruby seethed

"Daughter" she says as she looks straight at me

I looked down in the woman's hands at the bouquet of pink roses in hand and I noticed Ruby noticed them too

"What are you doing here" Ruby asked and I felt for her, she knew deep down but didn't want to believe it

"I came to leave this for my daughter" she held up the flowers and still doesn't take her eyes off mine "I'm sorry but you look familiar, who are you"

"ella es mi madre" Ruby answered(she's my mother)

that I understood and damn I wanted to cry

"Niña eres una neandertal si crees que puedo ser reemplazada" she laughs menacingly
(child you are a neanderthal if you believe I can be replaced)

"Yo soy tú madre" she seethed(I am your mother)

"más como una puta" Ruby shrugged not caring of her words I would if I had and freaking idea of what they were saying!(more like a whore)

"tuviste una vida perfecta, solo eres una perra desagradecida"(you had a perfect life, you are just an ungrateful little bitch)

now I'm definitely regretting not doing languages in high school

"I'm Samantha, I'm the person you practically sold your daughter to" I smirked and she scuffs

"how about this why don't we let your mother join us for dinner tonight before me leave for Venice in the morning?" I turn to Ruby and she looks at me as if I shit in my hand and smeared it all over my face.

I gave her the trust me look and she sighed

"sounds good" she groans lightly

I took her number and we were on our way. Walking to the car it was obvious that she was staring at us because that lunatic was following us and hiding behind bushes and trees. Could she be any more obvious.

When we got in the care Ruby was staring at me angrily

"I wanted her to see that you're better off without her, rub it in her face a little" I explained dramatically

she stays quiet for a moment before an ear to ear grin grew on her face

"what's for dinner?"

"I'm thinking shrimp, alfredo lasagna rolls, ranch pork chops and for desert cheesecake" I smiled

she nodded agreeing with my choices before he turned into Debby downer.

"Why so sad biscuit?" I asked and she looks at me confused of her nickname

"what? you're like one of those cookies rough on the outside but sweet on the inside"

"I was just wondering if you're mad or not about me calling you my mother" she says as she looks my way nervously

"I accepted you as my daughter a long time ago love, I love you so much you don't even know" I said as I reached of the center counsel and took her hand in mine

she smile still holding worry and nervousness in her eyes

I don't expect her to say it back right away I just want her to know that I will always love her as if she's blood. Suddenly disturbing this joyous moment was the sound of my phone ringing through the car's Bluetooth speakers

"hello?" I answered

"hi, Samantha this is Dr. Logan I was wondering if you can come to the hospital Jack isn't doing so good, one of your friends is already here" she spoke worriedly

"who is it?" I question somehow nervous

"his name is Derek"
