Song: WHEN I WAS OLDER by Billie Eilish
May 5
Maggie had taken Bev inside to cool down and rest. Ben, Sydney, and Greta all went with. Leaving Mike, Eddie, Richie, Bill, and two Stanley's.
Stanley Uris still stands behind Bill out of pure shock and curiosity. The other Stanley has just wandered up to the group with a smile. He looks around with wonder as everyone looks back suspiciously.
The boy laughs awkwardly. "So, uh, powers. Yeah? Cool. Kinda groovy."
No one says a word. Mike only rolls his eyes and heads for the house. Greta was the only one to make things a little more manageable. He tried to be patient, but he gives up.
Other Stanley only finger guns at the boy walking away. "Alright." He stops when he sees their squinted eyes. "Okay."
Richie smiles finally, as does Eddie. The two travel to him. Eddie starts first. "Water, huh? That's so cool."
"How does it work exactly?" Richie starts poking him.
Stanley shakes his hand away and then takes a step forwards. "So what do you all do?"
Richie and Eddie move up with him. "Oh I can heal people." The smaller one speaks up. He lays a hand on Stan's arm and his smile twists. "But I can also-..."
The green steam forms around the arm, burning the flesh he comes into contact with. "Ow what the fuck!" Stanley pulls away, shaking his arm as he does so.
"And what about y-..."
"Spin in a circle." Richie commands, which Stanley then does.
"Woah." The new boy says. His eyes light up with curiosity.
"Now touch your toes." Richie's smile goes wild too.
The boy does it, but the commands just keep coming. Eventually Bill steps up, smacking the back of Richie's head. "K-Knock it off."
Finally Stanley stops moving. He only laughs, though. He feels dizzy. "Hi." His eyes connect with the others.
"I'm B-Bill."
"And what do you do, B-Bill?" This only makes the high boy laugh harder.
Next thing he knows, he's no longer outside of Sydney's house. He's surrounded by darkness. "What are you afraid of?"
The boy laughs. "Well I'm definitely not telling you."
Bill smiles. "That's probably a good choice." With one thought, they're both back with everybody else. Bill's gift can be quite beautiful when he wants it to be, but he's not too fond of sharing those moments with just anyone. Only his Stanley.
"Trippy. So is it like teleportation or some kind of reality-..." his sentence drags off as his eyes come into contact with himself. "Woah. Shapeshifter."
The boy shakes his head. He's slightly taller than the new Stan. Maybe his lips a little thinner. "No, but we do have one of those."
"So who are you then? What are you?" His toxic brain can't even begin to fathom.
"I'm Stanley."
The boy laughs. "No. I'm Stanley."
"Yeah. I know. We both are."
The boy hums. "So, uh, how is this happening?"
The other simply shrugs. "Well I don't know."
"Do you have water too?"
