Song: Wolf Like Me by TV on the Radio

May 6

Sirens grow closer and closer, and despite being huddled and grouped together, this might be the most unprepared they've ever been. One of their more powerful companions is out cold, three are completely high, two just woke up, and every last one of them is exhausted and sleep deprived.

Everyone stands alert and still, none quite knowing where to look and what to expect. That is until Greta spots the first vehicle in the corner of her eye. Her hands reach up as she absorbs the storm's energy. "Left!" Her voice shouts as she aims her bolts in the enemies direction.

Everyone looks that way, only that's when more come from behind. Vehicle after vehicle creep up, surrounding them in their own bubble. But this is only where the fun begins.

Mike runs for one vehicle, which doesn't seem to be slowing down. But neither does he as he jumps, morphing into a large brown bear, which allows him to stop the car completely. And for the hell of it, he grabs the thing and throws it as far as his bear strength will let him.

"Now that is cool." Stanley Barber awes at the creature before him. The bear stares back before taking off once again. Only this time, his eyes don't leave Stanley's.

Barber seems to catch on as the bear leaps up, now morphing into a Great White Shark. Right before the boy hits the ground, Stanley pushes his hands forward, creating a wave. A wave which of course carries Mike's form over to a nearby group of officers. Stanley's eyes go wide with wonder and excitement as he carries the shark, who munches on various people. This only makes him laugh. "Awesome."

Meanwhile Eddie and Richie are back to back as police officers swarm them. Eventually the two are surrounded as guns point in their direction. But then Richie smiles, linking arms with the other. "Drop your weapons."

Richie then leans down, allowing Eddie to leave the ground, kicking each officer as Richie turns in a circle. The green steam leaves through his legs, infecting each person with a simple touch. After the enemies are down, they turn to face one another.

Eddie's glowing green eyes meet with Richie's bright yellow orbs. The two high-five and cheer before moving to the next group. This is all too fun for the two of them.

Ben has thrown at least three cars to god knows where. He stands near the motor home, not letting a soul anywhere near it. None have ever seen the boy so intimidating. Bill hums, impressed. Maybe he's finally grown a backbone.

Sydney still hasn't touched or bothered with trying to help. She's not even sure how the hell to control her powers. She's not even sure what her powers do. Which is why she stands near Greta, keeping out of the action. The girl doesn't want to harm a member of their team by being reckless. She wants to study herself before doing more damage than she's already done.

That is until there's a man with a gun pointed dangerously close to the blonde. The gun goes off, leaving Sydney's ears ringing and head a little fuzzy. Things seem to fade as all hell lets loose. The bullet once hurdling towards Greta has stopped midair and is now rushing backwards, piercing the man who fired the weapon in the first place.

Greta notices the change in Sydney's attitude and turns last second to see it happen. The blonde turns back around to cheer her on when another gun is about to be fired. She's quick to alert the girl, who ducks, before firing both hands in the officer's direction. Bright purple bolts, which match Greta's eyes, take the man clean out. She smiles at the redhead, who stares awkwardly back.

At first Syd was scared and unsure, but staring into those electric eyes, she's never felt more sure and secured. This is exactly where she's supposed to be. That void in her chest feels a little more full. Things seem more certain. Life as she knows it makes more sense and ever since her dad died it's like she can finally just breathe. Sydney always thought that Dina was her way out. But not anymore.

Stanley is a bit ahead of Bill, causing whatever sort of distraction he can as the other puts a bullet in each of their skulls. Stanley, much like Syd, is a bit out of sync with his powers. It's hard to force them up when he's having so much fun. They come much more naturally when he's seeping with rage. However soon the jokes are tossed away when an officer puts a gun to his skull.

Stanley's breathing slows down a bit as he tries to keep calm. His eyes flutter shut and finally he releases a warm hum which bounces to his nearby victims ears. The few officers around slow to a stop, putting all weapons aside. They focus even further on the sweet hum vibrating through them. Only the hum grows cold and loud and suddenly the few affected begin to panic. They jerk and twitch, some even managing a scream. But the hum only continues to grow and grow until it's no longer a hum and instead just a squeal.

Then their ears begin to bleed and they all drop dead.

Bill is so transfixed by the gentleness of it all that he doesn't even notice another officer in the distance. An officer with sight on Stanley and what he's done. An officer with a gun that goes off. An officer who just shot Stanley Uris.

The boy screams in pain as he shrinks to the ground, gripping at the open wound. And as he screams, the ground begins to shake and crack. Trees nearby shred. Cars crumble. People grip ears and more ears bleed.

Bill can't hear a thing due to his ears ringing. Only he's not sure if it's because of Stanley or the shock. But there's no time to sit and think. There's only one thing on his mind.

Stanley.

His eyes don't leave the boy, even when his right hand travels up, aiming right at the son of a bitch who shot his Stanley. Only he doesn't leave it there as he locks them up in his personal hell, crying and bleeding out. It doesn't matter, though. Stanley is the only one. It's only Stanley. It'll only ever be Stanley.

The ground stops shaking and trees stop shredding when another officer has muffled the boy's mouth with a palm. Bill only travels faster as he blocks the man's sight. Unfortunately his steps come to an end and he hits the ground too. Now it's no longer just that man who's vision turns black.
