Song: People Are Strange by The Doors

July 20

Most have parted ways by now, including Emmitt, who had taken Kate, Ashley, and Charlie. He had also taken in Maria, even though she was hesitant at first. After all she just wants a normal life, though that's out of the picture since they're practically being hunted down. Besides, Maria had grown to find a place for the odd group in her heart.

Despite leaving, Emmitt still promised to stay in touch, as did the rest of them. As for the others, well, they never did find the SS Eddie Richie. Since Eddie deems it vital that the SS must come at the beginning. Though they never did find that big ass RV, they did find something that'll at least do. Maybe they'll find something better on the way to Florida.

Speaking of Florida, that's where they are headed next. Sydney and Beverly's mother, Maggie, had decided to meet them there with Liam. There's four who are especially excited, which are Bill, Stanley Uris, Stanley Barber, and Mike. Bill and Uris just can't wait to make their dreamland become a reality. Mike and Stanley just can't wait to turn into giant jellyfish.

The rest are along just for the ride. Plus, the beach can't be half bad. It's beautiful, freeing, and open as can be, which is something they desperately want and need after being cooped up for months. Relaxation is the perfect option.

Unfortunately they're not to Florida yet, and instead have made a pit stop at a local diner in Mississippi. They sit around, stuffing their faces with food far better than any the facility could've ever made. It's been awhile since an honest to god meal. None knew how much they'd really been missing out on. Life seemed to fade in that place.

Richie has healed up almost perfectly. There's a slight bulge on the top right of his head, which even stretches to his eyebrow. The boy doesn't even care and instead laughs at the fact that he actually died. More than anything he's just impressed by Eddie's magic hands.

The two have been even more inseparable since the incident, if that's possible. Stanley Uris has also been spending quite a bit more time with the two, which means so has Bill. Richie and Eddie are so obviously in love with one another, and even after admitting it, neither had made a move. Instead they continue their hand holding and secret glances. Perhaps when the time is right they'll do what needs to be done.

Stanley Uris finishes with his pancakes. He's absolutely stuffed, making sure to shove the plate of leftover food far away. After that he sits back, admiring Bill, who has eaten an entire burger, all the fries, and now even finishes off Stanley's meal. "So what now?"

"Well we still have my parents." Bill jokes, wrapping an arm around his Stanley before giving a sloppy kiss to the top of his head. It's so unlike Bill, which is odd. Still, he smiles and allows it, happy that is lover is cheerful and sprite. Bill notices his own attitude change and wonders why. Then he comes to a conclusion. Life isn't meant to run. It's not meant to stay hidden. No, life is meant to conquer and chase. So he's done being the man who fears for what could have been and instead he'll be the man who grabs and creates a whole new future.

Stanley seems intrigued, but has no time to comment before they hear Eddie's small voice gasp. Everyone looks up, catching sight of the television, which just so happens to show an interview of Eddie's very own mom.

"And apparently we have mine too."
