Song: Teardrop by Massive Attack

June 2

Outside is fairly nice, though it'd be better if there was any wind. Most of the kids stay sat on a patch of grass, while others stand and soar. Greta lays, eyes closed. She pretends to be on an island, away from this mess. Her hand grabs for another's, which immediately intertwines. Perhaps the island has a certain redhead too.

Greta misses her own clothes. These uniforms are far too hot and itchy. It's not fair to strip them of all their rights. Isn't it bad enough that some have lost family and friends and a chance at a normal life? Should they be so cruel when they're only kids?

Though she guesses it's okay for some. Especially the ones like Stanley Uris who came from a nightmare life and had already been stripped. Or the ones like Bill who are so traumatized by what they've seen that they refuse to let anyone in. In the end they found each other, but at what cost? This isn't something she'd wish on anyone.

Stanley Barber hates it. The beds are far too uncomfortable and at night it's way too cold. Not to mention the lack of weed, which he desperately misses. They may be able to take away his incredible closet, but why can't they take the voices too? Again, he hates it, but at least he's found a brother. As well as friends who understand him at last. That has to be worth something.

This place seems far too relaxed and nice, despite the lack of freedom and prison like traits. Of course it's no fairytale. It isn't a get away facility, it's a cell. Mike had lost an enormous amount of weight, as did Emmitt. Both are vegans who refuse to eat the majority of what this place serves. Unfortunately this place also refuses to serve their dietary needs. But even with all the complications, it is still far better than what any could have hoped for.

At least from what they've seen. After all, the group has only been there for a short period of time. Stanley Uris hasn't delved too deep into every detail, considering he's just trying to catch up with Bill. Charlie and Ally hardly know the rest, meaning they mostly keep to themselves. But if there was something worth knowing, wouldn't someone have told them? Of course they've heard talk of experiments and bloodwork and more. Yet they've not seen a single thing, which makes them wonder what fishy business is going on around these parts.

They were told to cooperate, but there's been no need to do such a thing. So far there doesn't seem to be any order or rules. There's a schedule, sure, but with far too many breaks and free time. Except for Charlie and Ally, who tend to do quite a bit more due to "training." Whatever that means. And what is the training even for? No one seems to want to specify on any matter. Yet they all have so many questions.

Sydney Novak is typically a very angry person. Though she's been doing much better with Greta around. Still, she'd probably be doing even better if it weren't for the fact that she is stuck in this place. So her eyes stay closed and she imagines a world where her and Greta are somewhere far away, on their own, basking in the company of one another.

Even though she misses her normal life, the girl is glad to have Greta and her sister by her side. Her and Beverly have gotten quite close since meeting. At first Bev was a little standoffish, due to her jealousy. Sydney understands. Their mother did abandon her, leaving her with a man who had no self control. The stories her sister has told just makes her ill.

She hopes that this all ends soon. The girl would love to show Beverly more to life. She'd yet to talk much about their father, even if he was an amazing man. Sydney just feels far too awkward as of right now. They were raised by very different men.

Syd also hopes for Bev and Liam to meet, though she is slightly worried Beverly might freak him out. She doesn't mean to be rude, but her sister just has that vibe. It doesn't matter, though, because Liam is awesome and so is Bev. They'll for sure get along.
