It's 2:39 AM and I was about to go to sleep but then I got this idea.
Also, if you're under 13, you might wanna continue on to the next story...
This story is based on Matthew sending Luca "Or Nah (Rendition) by SoMo.
Yes, I'm nervous as I type this, but let's do it...
Literally me right now: 😅😁😲😳🥵 and I haven't even started writing it yet...

Friday afternoon, I noticed Matthew wasn't in our last two classes (History and Chemistry). I look over at Hannah.
"Do you know where Matthew is?" I ask her.
She shrugs. "I haven't heard from him," she says like she really does know, but isn't telling me.
"Is there something you're not telling me?"
She shakes her head, clears her throat, and looks away.
Interesante.

In Chemistry, our last class of the day, our teacher gives us a free period to just hang out or catch up on classwork. Matthew bangs in the door and sits in between Hannah and I.
"Did you get it?" Hannah asks him in an undertone.
"Yes," Matthew replies.
"Where have you been?" I ask him as soon as he stops talking.
"I had to take care of something," he tells me looking at me in a completely different way than he's ever looked at me before. My stomach flutters.

When the bell rings, I run after Matthew.
"Are you coming over tomorrow?" I ask him.
"Yeah," he says, a little absentmindedly. (GUYS OH MY GOODNESS I LITERALLY HAVE BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH RN)
I nod. "See you then," I tell him.
He waves a hand. "Yeah, see you then," he says and then he WINKS at me. What. In. The. World?? I shrug it off as I walk to my car.

When I get home, my phone starts going off.
I look at it and see that I have a message from Matthew.
Matthew- hey ;)
He never sends me winky faces. I think my best friend has been kidnapped and replaced.
Matthew- my parents are gone for the weekend
Matthew- you wanna come over and spend the night?
Luca- yeah, I'd like that
Matthew- alright, I'm not home right now but go ahead and come on over, you know where the keys are. I'll be there as soon as I can get there.
Luca- alrighty
I quickly grab a duffel bag, throw some stuff in it, and tell my mom the change of plans.
"Alright sweetheart, have fun!" She calls.
"We will, Mom," I call back as I go out the front door and pull it closed behind me.

I pull up to Matthew's house, who is, like he said, not currently home. I park in the spot I always park in, grab my stuff, go up to the front door, grab the spare key, unlock the door, put the key back, go inside of the house, and close and lock the door behind me. I go ahead and head upstairs to Matthew's bedroom. Matthew's chocolate lab, Coco, comes running up to me.
"Hi, buddy," I say as I scratch his head. "Where's Matthew, huh?"
He sits, looks up at me, and whines as if he's trying to say, Your guess is as good as mine.
I go up to Matthew's bedroom and within minutes of sitting down on the bed, I get a text from Matthew.
Matthew- I'm on my way
Matthew- get ready, bug ;)
Okay, this is weird. He hasn't called me bug since we were in fourth grade. Another text comes in.
Matthew- listen to this song ;)

I click on the link which takes me to YouTube and starts playing the song 'Or Nah (Rendition)' by SoMo. I've never heard this song before...
