chapter 37: Lost all sanity

                   (Ronan's P. O. V)

2 weeks Later.....

I heard a knock on my door. I groaned agitated. "Come in."

I was not in a good mood it's been two weeks since Roxanna passed out and she still hasn't woken up.

But I smiled when I saw Ximena enter my office. She's been really supportive lately. She usually accompanies me when I go to visit Roxy. She's always there for me, and the thought makes me smile.

"Hello." She waved with one hand and the other was behind her back.

"Hi." I said, suddenly the air around here feels.... different.

"Happy Valentine's day!" She smiled pulling out a little chocolate cake from behind her. My jaw dropped when I saw it.

Holy crap!

That was today! And she got me a cake? Why didn't anyone tell me it was today! Wait. What does this mean for us? Are we a thing? Does she have feelings for me? This means so much!

"Sir!" She yelled snapping me back to reality.

"Huh?"

"I was saying that today is the day we show love to one another. Back in Mexico, my family and I would bake cakes for everyone in the neighborhood. Today is a day of love and appreciation." She said and I stared at her in amazement and wonder. She's such an angel. Does this mean she loves me?

Wait. What the bloody hell is wrong with me?

"And what better way to show appreciation to my boss other than chocolate cake on Valentine's day!" She smiled and my smile disappeared.

Appreciation? Boss?

I am such an idiot! How could I think she could ever think of me other than anything related to work. Why do I feel this thing in my chest knowing that she only sees me as her boss? I dropped my head in my hands and sighed.

"Uh....sir? Y-you don't like it? I'm so sorry if you see this as inappropriate. It's just how we celebrate Valentine's day back home. I'm s-"

"No Ximena. It's wonderful, thank you. None of my employees have ever done something so genuinely nice for me." I said looking at her with a smile. Even though it's a sad one.

"Are you sure? You don't look so happy". Is like she can see right through me. Stop making me like you more damnit!

Wait. Did I honestly admit to myself I like her?

Oh no.

"I'm sure and you did make my day. Thanks." I say flashing her a smile that made her blush. Cute.

The door to my office suddenly burst open startling Ximena making her almost drop the cake. I groaned in annoyance once I saw who it is.

"YO YO HOES!" Rolland exclaims as he burst into my office with all his annoying glory. He has a woman wearing a very exposing dress at his side. Nothing new there.

"You filthy baboon! I almost dropped the cake! Do you know how hard it is to make this! Of course you don't. You've probably never had to work for anything in your life!" Ximena growled at Rolland and he completely ignored her last two statements.

"Ooooo Yay! We're having cake! Baby, I told you my brother's office wasn't that boring." He said to the woman beside him.

"You were the that said that baby."

"Shut up Victoria." He whispered in her ear.

"It's Vanessa."

"Oookaaay! I'm leaving." Ximena said dropping the cake on my desk and turning to leave.
