I felt bad for the guy. I know deep down I overreacted back there. But it's not my fault.
                              Blame the damn hormones.
I looked up at Ronan, his expression mirroring mine. Pity.
But I quickly threw that expression in the trash. Pity is an emotion I hate most in the world.
I hate it when people pity me, So why should I pity others? Do what you want others to do to you right?
I picked up my basket from the floor. "Well, that's too bad. Ronan come on let's go," I said but he didn't move.
"Ronan?" He shook his head and pointing at the guy. No.
Did I forget to mention Ronan is the angel in the family?
"It's ok little dude. I'm fine right here. I mean look at this place. It has everything you can think of!" The waiter guy said.
I looked behind the waiter guy to take a good look at Ronan's basket. Video games, chips and dip.
Wow. He really is Rolland's twin. Well what do you know.
"See he's alright here, Let's go. We need to get back to the others," I said.
"Yeah, where's that cute baby. I can't wait to meet her mom. I am sure she's as pretty as her," the waiter guy said. Does he have something for babies moms?
I decided not to answer him, I am happy when Ronan started walking away. I followed right behind him. Wait, where is the exit?
"The exit is that way," the waiter guy said. I turned to find him pointing in the opposite direction we are going. The waiter guy had an amused smirk on his face, I really wanted to punch it off.
Ronan and I turned around and went in the pointed direction. Luckily, we made it out. Ronan and I were walking to the motel when the waiter guy called after us.
"Wait! Hold up!" he said out of breath as he finally reached us. "You forgot this," he said giving me my gun. I looked at it and shook my head.
"Keep it. You'll need it if you're going to spend the whole night alone in that store," I said turning around to walk away.
"Wait," the waiter guy said making Ronan and I turn with raised eyebrows.
"I know his name's Ronan but what's yours?" He asked waiting expectantly.
"Roxanna," I said and started walking away with Ronan by my side. I don't have time for this, I need to get back to the others.
                              "Roxanna."
I froze when my name slipped past his lips. It sounded..... Amazing.
                              †††††
I couldn't sleep last night. But I am glad Ronan got some sleep when we got back.
I am currently feeding Raelynn, While the others are playing the video game Ronan got yesterday.
Ronan wasn't playing though. He seemed to have zoned out again. He's just like mom.
                              Mom.....
I shook my head removing any bad memories from my head. I need to think clearly, I have to think of our next step. Once I was done feeding Raelynn she went back to sleep.
I looked down at the angel in my arms, she's not even a month old and she's going through the worst thing imaginable. She can't even move her limbs.
But I won't let any harm come to her. To any of them.
I gently placed her on the bed and went to the drawer near the side of my bed. I took out the drugs I got yesterday, the antidepressants. Am I depressed? I don't think so. But I need to think rationally and not get sad often.
I know I am not supposed to take drugs without a doctor's prescription because of my weak liver. But I don't want to drive back to the hospital. It's too risky.
I carefully read the instructions, but my eyes widened when I saw the warning on the bottle.
Warning: excessive intake can cause addiction, drowsiness, dizziness, heart failure, stroke, cancer, and death. Don't take without the prescription of a doctor.
I decided to not take the drugs. At least not now. I honestly don't have a problem with dying, at least I'd be with mom and dad.... But my siblings need me, I promised our parents.
A knock on the door brought me back to reality. I signalled for everyone to remain silent, I hid my gun behind my back and opened the door. I frown when I see who it is.
"Uh.. hello." the waiter guy said. I looked at him with a blank expression.
"What do you want?"I asked already annoyed by his presence.
"I came to chill with you guys," he said, like we've been friends for a long time.
"Sorry but we're about to leave," I replied, "and how did you find my room?" I asked.
"The old man downstairs told me," I rolled my eyes. Of course, he did. "Can't I just tag along with you guys?" the waiter guy said.
"No," I said before closing the door in his face.
I turned and find all my siblings looking at me. "What?"
                              "That was rude," Ranger said.
"I think it was pretty cool. I don't like the guy," Rolland said.
"You don't like him because he likes Roxy," Ruby said. Wait, for what?!
"What?!" I could not believe what just came out of Ruby's mouth.
"Oh come on Roxy, it's obvious he likes you," Ruby said walking to the door.
"Ruby Ferrer, if you open that door..." I warned.
She gave me a mischievous smile. "Oops," she said opening the door. "Oh hi! come in," Ruby said with a smile. The waiter guy walked in with a smile on his face.
"Your sister is way nicer than you," the waiter guy said to me.
I can't believe I'm allowing my little sister invite a stranger here! We're all in danger! This is too risky. But how do I say no to her? I only know how to use force, but I don't want to with her. With any of them.
"Get. Out." I say harshly. I may not be able to use it on my siblings, but I can do way worse to this guy.
"Come on, I want to play with him," Ruby whined. I could have sworn I saw a bit of my dad in her right now. So whiny.
"But you guys.... we need to go to Uncle John's." I said. They all looked at me in horror except for Ronan who had his usual blank expression.
Oh right, I never told them.
                              "Noooo!!!!" They shouted.
"Come on. Uncle John's not that bad," the words tasted bitter as I spoke. "Okay, maybe he is that bad. But we have nowhere else to go." I admitted.
"Let's just stay here one more day," Ranger said.
"Or forever," Rolland shrugged. I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. My eyes were becoming heavy, and I was really dizzy. I really need to sleep.
"Okay, one more day. But on one condition. No one disturbs my sleep. Okay?"I said.
"YAY!!!" the three of them yelled including the waiter guy. Should I fall asleep with a stranger in here? Why do I feel so comfortable with him? I barely even know him.
                              Whatever.
