chapter 48: Your father

(Ronan's P. O. V)

"Show us already!" I exclaimed. I really want to see the daughter of the man that shot me and nearly paralyzed me.

"Yeah let's see her face!" Rolland said.

James sighed before turning his computer and my heart immediately stopped. I refused to believe the sight in front of me. I blinked a few times to make sure I was seeing correctly. Hell, I even silently pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming or hallucinating.

But it was real

The girl I have fallen head over heels for is the daughter of the man that ruined my life. She is the daughter of the man that killed my older brother, the man that ordered the murder of my parents in their own home.

I heard the woman herself slowly regaining consciousness and my heart stopped at the fear of what Roxy would do to her. For all I know my sister is the most dangerous woman in the world. She's been hunting down that sorry excuse of a man for five years. I fear she would do the worst to her and I'll be damned if I let her.

"Guys?" Her innocent voice spoke.

"Ximena? I asked you this question before and I didn't get an answer so I'll ask again." My heart beat escalated when Roxy stood up and looked Ximena in the eyes. "What. Was. Your. Brother's. Name?"

My mind was racing. I prayed every single prayer possibly known to man that she'll mention any name other than that name. Confusion was written all over her face as she gave the answer that literally crushed me.

"Anthony."

I noticed the twitching in Roxy's hands and I knew what she was about to do. I leaped to my feet the same moment Roxy raised her hand to slap my love before I caught it. Her burning gaze was directed at me, I saw all the emotions that were running through her eyes. The sadness, the pain, the shock and disbelief.

However, I looked at her with pleading eyes and she yanked her hand away and stormed off to her room, slamming the door behind her. Shortly after the shattering and breaking of things were heard.

(Rolland's P. O. V)

"I-I don't understand why she was going to hit me? My mom was just kidnapped and all she wants to do is hit me?!" Ximena said with tears in her eyes, obviously not understanding what is going on.

"Your mom was kidnapped?" James asks and she nods with a sob. "Well I guess we all know where she is."

Ximena's brows knit together "what do you mean? Where is my mom? Who took her?"

"It's a long story you might want to sit down for." James said and Ximena sat down and gestured for him to continue. I noticed from the corner of my eye Amalia was also interested in the story. This story will determine just how much she loves Ranger. If she's willing to be with him and face all the dangers or flee.

"Your father is a drug Lord. His name is Fernando Del Castillo, he's known to be the second most powerful mafia leader in the world." James started.

"Don't mafias kill people, sell drugs and prostitute women?" Ximena asks and James nods. Ximena gasped"That's probably why my mom never wanted me to meet him, but he did allow me to meet my brother though."

"That can't be right, if your brother knew where you were your father should know to." Ronan asks and Ximena shakes her head.

"No. My brother didn't want me involved in our father's business. I didn't understand at the time so I never questioned him. He had a private investigator look for us. When he found us, he convinced my mom that he wouldn't tell our father about me. That was when I was eight years old. He stopped coming to visit when I was fourteen. I really miss him, I tried contacting him so I gave up. I just figured he was tired of me." She said glumly.
