chapter 56: The Ferrer we lost

(Ruby's P. O. V)

"Drive faster!" I whined.

"I can't! If I do, they'll see us coming!" Rolland said.

"Guys I don't think this is a good idea..." Ronan says. I sighed and look down at my hands and notice I'm shaking terribly.

Let me explain what is going on. We obviously couldn't let Roxy see the devil himself without us being there. We don't know exactly what we're going to do over there, but something just told the three of us to be there.

After Roxy and James left, a few minutes later we noticed a lot of our men were gone. So you can call it a gut feeling. Don't worry, we won't make ourselves known, we can't endanger our little brother's life.

"Guys, I think we should stop here. The parking lot is a walking distance from here. Let's just go through the bushes." Rolland said as he pulled over beside a few bushes.

We got down from the car and started our journey. As we approached closer we crouched down in the bushes to conceal ourselves. Although as we got closer we heard voices.

"No! Your not taking my sister!" Ranger's voice echoed through the air.

I gasped, "Ranger!" I started moving faster in the bushes.

"Ruby!" Ronan called after me, but I didn't stop.

"Slow down! They'll see you!" Rolland whispered- shouted. I felt them catching up to me, until someone yanked my arm. I turned thinking it was one of the twins, but I was very wrong.

"Ximena?"

"Ximena?! What are you doing here?" Ronan asks once he reached us with Rolland right behind him. (F. Y. I we're all crouched together in the bushes.)

"Your not supposed to be here!" Rolland said and she rolls her eyes.

"Neither are you guys." She shot back. I was about to say something until Roxy's voice was heard from a distance.

"Ranger!" She said.

I completely ditched the group and continued walking to get a better look at what is going on.

"Ruby! Wait!" Ronan called out.

I stopped once I spotted Roxy and James, I followed their train of sight and saw the devil himself shoving a gun at Ranger's temple.

My eyes widened and I gasped, my heart rate picked up at a fast pace. The rest were by my side soon enough.

"Ruby? What are you-" Ronan stopped once he saw what I was looking at. I felt the twins tense beside me as we all continued to watch the drama unfold.

"Ranger..." Roxy said as she took one step towards Ranger, as he did the same , "I promise I'll come back to you. I'm not going to die."

I felt a sharp pang in my chest at what Roxy just said. I'm pretty sure the twins felt it too, because one of them let out a very angry growl.

"Quit lying to the kid. Didn't daddy tell you lies are bad - oh wait! Decapitated him!" He laughed hysterically.

Rolland was struggling to charge towards Fernando but Ximena and Ronan held him back. "That son of a bitch-"

"Rolland please keep quiet. You'll be putting Roxy and Ranger in danger if he hears you." Ximena said and he calmed down a bit.

"- just look into my eyes and know everything is going to be alright." Roxy said to Ranger as they both walked towards each other.

The air suddenly became deadly tense. My heart started pounding so fast all of a sudden, something is terribly wrong.

"Guys...." Ximena said in a shaky voice. The three of us looked at her and saw her pointing at an abandoned building in a distance. I squinted my eyes and saw someone on the roof of the building, pointing a sniper at Roxy's direction.
