POV: Winston

6:00pm
A giant sigh was released from my chest. I laid my head down on the table, with frustration. I decided there was no point in staying since Monty left.
"Fuck," I whispered to myself.
Maybe I should've stayed away from Monty and just let him do his own work and I can do mine. I packed everything into my bag and threw it onto my back. I stormed out of the library, there was no sign of Monty, I didn't see which direction he went. I didn't know what to do, I reached over into the side of my backpack to get my phone, It was getting late. I don't think I could ever talk to Monty again now, I completely fucked up, but I just felt uncomfortable, I didn't know anything about him anymore.
I walked out into the streets, It was full of traffic and it was hot, very hot and humid, the cafe was right in front of me, and the ice cream shop was to the left.
"Hey, Winston!" A voice called out from across the street. It wasn't Monty's
I looked over, it was Rafaela.
"Um, Hi?" I said confused, she ran over to me.
I was so confused, I literally have never talked to this girl in my life, why was she calling me.
"Hey! how've you been?" she said giving me a hug.
I stood there wide-eyed.
"Uh...good, yeah, I've been good," I smiled at her.
She grinned, "awesome!"
Her dark moss green eyes contrasted from her chocolate skin. Her bangs hovered just over her eyes, covering her perfectly shaped eyebrows.
"Have I like...talked to you before or something-"
"No, no," she laughed, "but I thought since we have some mutual friends we could bond, you know?" She put a hand on my shoulder.
"Oh, yeah sure," I shrugged my shoulders.
I felt awkward, I didn't know what to say now, "Well, I guess I'll get going,"
"No," she said grabbing my arm, "you wanna get some ice cream?" her finger pointed at the ice cream shop to the far left of us.
I thought about it at first and I was about to say no but then I thought, what do I have to lose, "why not," I chuckled.
A smile grew on her face from ear to ear.
***Sorry for the short chapter again haha, I needed to switch povs, also I've been writing on my computer lately and It has a weird format that I cant control, so, sorry if some of the chapters look weird. ALSO, THANK YOU FOR 4K VIEWS!! I know it's not a lot but it means a lot❤❤***
