Molly ran the make up brush down her cheekbone making a weird concentrated face in the mirror. She had her hair pinned back with a clip and had on a robe, I assumed she was naked underneath. Her face looked delicate with all of the make up on, I thought that if I so much as breathed on her, her fragile porcelain face would collapse in on its self.

"Your not gonna get ready?" She waved her brush in the air at me

"Later," I replied, "I'm still thinking about what to wear."

"Let me help you," she offered, "come here," she walked into my closet and turned the lights on.

I followed her inside, leaving my phone on the couch.

She looked around the room, skimming through all of my clothes quickly with her eyes.

"Ah!" She picked out a dark blue denim vest with small designs on the bottom, "you can wear this, no?"

"With what, though?" I looked at the pants I had folded in a pile.

She ran her pointer finger down the pile of folded pants, "umm...this one," she grabbed red jeans from the bottom and handed them to me.

"No shirt under the vest?" I asked.

"No need for a shirt, it looks god without it, just button the vest all the way down."

She walked out of the closet and closed the door.

I waited a little while to see if she would walk back in before I started changing. I didn't want her to see me naked.

As I changed I listened to the noises she made at the vanity while doing her makeup and humming some tunes to herself. I buttoned up the pants and took off my shirt and bra. Apparently I was supposed to wear the top with nothing else under. I guess the jacket was thick enough.

"Almost done?" Molly called ok but from the other room.

"Yes," I replied, "Almost."

I pulled my hair out from under the collar of the jacket and turned around to face the mirror.

I looked at my figure in the mirror. Tracing my hands down the sides of my body. I had never worn something like this in public before. Of course I owned these items but I never would've thought if wearing them together. Molly had her own style that was different from the rest.

"Beautiful," Molly said from the entrance of the closet, leaning against the door frame.

I was startled and jumped around, "Oh," I sighed of relief, "you think so?"

"I know so," she answered.

I smiled at her.

She walked over to me and stood about a couple inches from my face. She put her hand on my face and pulled a strand of hair out of my mouth, "Better."

She looked down at my lips before kissing them for a quick moment.

In that short moment I felt like a million different types of flowers had sprouted from every corner in my room and butterflies were flying around us. It was almost as if we were transported to a different world of magic and fairytales. I could swear I heard the small squirrels and chipmunks running up the trees and felt the drops of water splash on my skin from the waterfall crashing into the river.

She let go of my face and stepped back. She stared at me for a moment before acting as if nothing had happened and going back to looking at shoes.

"Oh! Wear these ones! Yessss," she grabbed my pair of black Doc Martens boots and handed them to me.

I was flustered and hesitated to grab them, "Ok."

She turned around and headed back to the vanity, looking into the mirror and patting parts of her faces with her middle finger.

"It's almost three o' clock I think we should get going," she called out, "just in case, ya know?"

"Mhm," I mumbled.

I stepped out of the closet and presented my self to her awkwardly.

"I love it."

"Me too," I bit my lip.

She furrowed her brows, "what's wrong?"

I took a big breath of air, "You...You kissed me."

"Oh," she scoffed and flapped her hand whatever, "it didn't mean anything, it was just a kiss."

"Ah," I chuckled softly, "okay, then."

She packed her makeup into her bag, rummaging through everything trying to separate what was mine and what was hers.

"Why though?" I asked.

"Huh?" She glared, "Oh...I wanted to see what it felt like."

"D-Did you like it?" I questioned with blushed cheeks, I thought for sure I had gone too far and she was about to leave my room and never look at my face ever again.

"Mm," she shrugged.

That's it. No response after that, no yes, no no.

I shook my head agreeingly.

"Well...we should get going it's about time and I still want to get something to eat at McDonalds but I might change my mind I'm not sure yet," she packed her makeup bag into her small back up she carried on her back.

"Right, yeah, let's go," I grabbed my phone and miniature backpack from off my bed.

I was scared that for her it meant nothing but a simple kiss, but for me, it was everything I could ever have imagined.
