Part Fifty-Four

Everyone was outside of the school, talking, taking pictures, and some parents were crying. I had slowly made my way to behind the school against the brick wall. I gave my parents a hug, attest my mom, and took a quick picture before coming over here where no one else was. I was by myself.

Just before, I had texted Winston to come to the same spot so I could have some time with him alone, out of sight. When I patted him on the back right before he walked up to the stage, I'm not sure if it was supposed to be romantic or friendly but I let Winston think whatever he wanted to. I was nervous right after because I thought the boys were gonna start interrogating me and tease asking me "is that your boyfriend." But, they didn't. No one said anything, in fact, I think I saw some of them smiling. Maybe we were just in the moment, but everything was normal.

"Yeah?" Winston came around the corner with a smile.

I took in a breath of fresh air before grabbing him by the arm and pinning him against the wall. I placed aggressive kisses on his lips and his neck as he let out a chuckle and carefully pushed me away.

"Alright, alright," Winston ran a hand down my chest, flattening out the ruffles on my gown, "What's up?"

I shrugged, "I just wanted to kiss you."

He smirked, "Mhm."

"What was that, when I was walking up to get my diploma?" He asked me.

I raised my eyebrows, "Oh, I don't know, I guess I..." I thought if what to say that would make sense but nothing came to me that could express what I was trying to say.

"Was trying to show everyone that you loved me? How sweet," He completed my sentence putting his hands over his heart.

"Yeah, definitely," I agreed sarcastically.

He exhaled sharply, "Well, I guess well never know then."

"No, I was just...caught up in the moment, I dont know."

"That's fine, too."

He flipped over next to me and slid down the wall, sitting on the floor with his leg crossed. He looked up at me as if expecting for me to the same. I lifted up my gown and sat down next to him with a grunt and rested my arms on my knees.

"Are you going tonight?" Winston proceeded to ask me taking a vape out of his pocket.

"Where'd you get that?" I asked him, knowing he has never been one to vape in his life.

"Its not mine, relax," he reassured me, "Its Molly's, I'm holding it for her, she's taking pictures with Rafaela and Elio and she didnt want to get caught with it so she gave it to me when I told them I was coming here."

"Oh."

"Wanna try?" He asked me.

"No."

"Me neither," he put it back into his pocket.

"I am, why? Are you?" I shot back.

"Me too," he squinted his eyes from the bright rays of sunlight, "Wanna go together?"

I pressed my lips together, "That's a stretch."

He pushed off from the wall and sat in front of me with his legs crossed, "Come on, Monty," He groaned, "Stop being so normal."

I leaned in closer to him, "how?"

He lifted me up from the floor, first picking him self up and then grabbing my hands and pulling me up, god knows he couldnt have done it himself so I pretended he was helping but really I was picking my self up all along.

"Just stop caring!" he exclaimed.

"About what?" I questioned.

"Everything, what people think, what your parents will think, your friends, everything!" He rubbed my shoulder.

"That's the thing, I dont know how."

He kissed me and pulled away, "See how that feels? Imagine doing that but in public, not worrying about anything, at all. Not what people are thinking."

"What if people stare?" I said.

"Let them stare, so what?" He shrugged.

I scoffed and looked away, "It's not that easy."

"It is though!" He disagreed, "It really is, that easy."

"I don't know."

I exhaled deeply, "Alright, how about we go together but not as a date. Like, in secret, yeah it's a date, but to everyone else, were just friends?"

He nodded his head, "Okay, that's a start."

"Yeah? Alright then." I grinned.

He hugged me suddenly and kissed my neck. He squeezed me tight and I hugged him back, tighter.

"See you tonight, then?" He stood back taking out his phone.

"Of course," I smiled.

"What time?" He tilted his head putting a hand over his eyes, mimicking a visor.

"Um...7? 8?" I shrugged.

"7:30," he grinned.

"Sounds good," I put my hand in my back pocket through my gown.

He kissed me quickly and bit his lip, trying to hide his smile, "I'm really glad were doing this."

"Me too."

He walked away backwards slowly, "this is really big!"

He saluted to me and turned around, kind of jogging.

I smiled at the ground and started to walk in the opposite direction.

"Hey!" He shouted.

I turned back with squinted eyes.

"Nothing," He yelled, "I just wanted to see your ugly face again."

I chuckled softly, "Ha Ha," I fake laughed, making sure he knew it was fake and forced, "Fuck you!" I flipped him off.

He cupped his mouth his hands, "I LOVE YOU TOO," He yelled from what seemed a mile away.

"Right," I said to myself turning around and kicking the floor, "I love you too." I whispered to myself so no one else could hear.

***Hey guys!! First of all, I know I have been a bit inconsistent with posting new chapters its just that I just came back fro. Vacation and my phone is broken so I'm using my computer at the moment. Second, Just stopping by to say that this book will be ending in the next 20-25 chapters!! It's starting to get a bit long so I dont wanna make it a full on Harry Potter book or something ahaha. But I just wanted to announce this to you guys and say that this book is coming to and end BUT there's no need to worry because there is still 20-25 more chapters (give or take a few chapters) to come, which for reference, is the chapter when Monty and Winston did it at the party after their fight with the record player saying in the back until now. So I am assuming that this book will be fully done by the end of August or beginning of September! When the time comes, would you guys like to see a second book or is this one enough? You guys can wait until the end to tell me if you like the ending or would like a second one. Anyways, Thanks you for reading and dont forget to vote on this chapter!!
