Part Eight

POV: Monty
Monday, February 12, 2020
9:40am

My eyes skimmed the crowd walking in the school hallway as my feet walked across the floor. I could barely manage to get to the other side without bumping into someone. I was trying to make it as discreet as possible because I didn't want Winston to see I was looking for him.
fuck him.
I kept moving in the giant mob of people, making sure not to hold anyone up.
I saw him.
There that feeling was again, in my chest, butterflies. I made eye contact for a split second but then immediately looked away. He barely seemed to notice me, I felt ignored for once. He walked right past me with his head high, not even acknowledging that I was there.
I don't need him.
fuck him.
I spotted Jake and Aiden and ran up to catch with them. I had apologized and talked to him a few days after the incident, he said "we're all good". I smiled and grabbed Jake's hand, pulling to my chest and letting go with a snap somewhere above my head.
"Yooo," Jake says, "So uh, words been going around that you've been hanging around with that Winston kid," he raised an eyebrow, "the faggot," he whispered to me laughing and pushing Aiden.
"Nah," I smile and then rest my face in a frown realizing I'm being to friendly, "what the fuck, where'd you here that?"
That kid, Cj-
shit, fucking Cj, I thought.
-the one on the team, no one really knows who he is, he said he saw you on top of him at his locker or some shit, he said he was trying to get away but it seemed like you wouldn't let him, Jake said fixing his backpack strap, "where you like-" he stopped, assuming I knew what he was going to say next.
"Ugh, no, no, I was just like," my heart started racing, "like, intimidating him, I-I didn't want him to think I was in his side just because I stood up for him the one time."
Jake looked straight at my face, "oh okay," he chuckled, " 'aight, see ya."
"Yeah, bye," I walked away.
The bell rang, and I turned into my chemistry class next to me.
I felt relieved.

POV: Monty
February 9, 2020
6:22pm

The sound of my cleats echoed throughout the locker room. Coach let us have early release because his wife was hosting a dinner party with her co-workers. I was the only one left in there because Coach was talking to me about how he noticed I was slacking and getting off track, I told him it's fine its just that I was trying to focus on my Algebra grade -eventhough I had an 87- He told me to keep my head in the game, whatever that means.
I removed my sweaty top with relief, I felt like I could breathe through my fucking nipples. I chuckled to my self.
I threw the shirt in the bag and put it on the bench.
The creak of the old doors to the locker room rang throughout the humid room. I thought nothing of it and continued to get undressed.
I tried not to, but all I could think about was Winston, it pissed me off that he could even say that. Does he think hes stronger than me? I could put him down in 2 seconds if I wanted to!
I took off the tight pants along with my underwear too and shoved it all inside my bag, I quickly put on a towel around my waist, just in case. I rummaged through my clean bag of clothes and pulled out a shirt, shorts and a fresh pair of underwear. I closed the locker and grabbed the shampoo bottle of the bench next to me and headed to the shower behind the lockers. My flip-flops smacked the floor with every step. I reached the open room with 7 showers all next to each other in a square. Inset my thing down on the floor on top of my towel and I turned on every single shower so it would be foggier. I was completely naked in there but I was alone so it was fine. I waited for the water to heat up and I got into one. I closed my eyes, letting the water run down my body. It was so peaceful.
"Hey," said a voice.
"AGH, JESUS!" I yelled.
I rubbed my eyes looking at the person standing in front of the wide room.
"Winston?"
